This.

The other modules should be brought up to the JF-17s level, not the other way around.

For instance the JF-17's TGP has focusing implemented, something that other pods don't (including ATFLIR - I couldn't help but be a little disappointed when our lord and saviour said this in the recently released ATFLIR video).

And if anything is silly, it's playing something described as offering "the most authentic and realistic simulation of military aircraft, tanks, ground vehicles and ships possible" and then having a problem with it being so.

Yeah, I agree 100%, though I can't wait for the river of tears when people figure out that the new clouds will block all TGPs... Oh noes! We have to use PP modes!! The horror!! Then there will be a strong push to only have nice clear days to fly on for the online servers.

I do love the fact, somehow "focusing a tgp" isn't applicable to DCS... Jeeze...

I'm hoping that this will serve as a kick up the backside for ED to implement DTC functionality with an appropriate mission planner.

LoL on the two servers I play on the weather over the Caucuses is less than ideal most of the time.  The past 3 days it has been low cloud cover, between 1500ft and 4500ft with a cloud ceiling of 6-10kft.

I adapt.. and I do it old school with snake eyes and mavericks.

I am definitely not... I tend to go after S-300 SAMs with a Mirage 2000c and 4 mk82SEs.

As far as I can see, not implemented in the live open beta version. So a 2.7 feature I suppose?

Pretty sure that was a joke screenshot, but I may be wrong.

It is not a Joke, have a look at the changelog, it's there for something!

@Deka, thank you for adding this ability to turn these features on/off. The issue was not so much that these features are bad, but there was not enough feedback to the player that some of these effects would/are occurring - particularly the pilot freezing (no alert you are cold - just weird sound effect and head jerking, which was really jarring with head tracking), and some limitations on the ED atmo sim and whether there would be fogging, etc.

Thank you for putting this kind of polish into the airframe, but it just needs better implementation.

Will this option allow us to instantly add or remove the refueling probe as well? It can be pretty annoying in MP to swap to the configuration I want since it takes several minutes. Minor point but it would be nice. I'd also like to say thanks for having literally the BEST special options menu in the game for any module.

Not only that, how about an actual IR functioning model in the sim, not with hot Trees

Well, do you see any option in that picture to remove the probe?

Don't worry though, there is already such an option around in the mission editor.

The whole IR system is planned to receive a major overhaul - so there's that I guess.

Actually, its funny, but trees  are  actually often  "hot" under some/many IR conditions. But since  you are an "expert" I'm sure you knew that.

Im an expert ?  Doesn't take any level of expertise to clearly see what's incorrect.  Since you are clearly more qualified than anyone else Im sure you can offer your expertise and insight and teach all of us a lesson or two.  Or perhaps  how there is nothing wrong with the current IR model in the game.

Obviously variances in temp though surrounding objects IRL but nothing like we have in DCS, These systems have no problem locating objects through trees unlike our "Hot Trees" that we have modeled in DCS".
