Or the other way around, clouds render infront of power lines.

Yep. Now when we have proper clouds there is no way back. We need Wire Strike Protection System (WSPS) to cut those in a fly

It had done that for ages!  Was hoping for a fix but guess that was not realistic!

This one has bugged me for years, since I like to fly Helos and you see it more often down low. It's probably such a simple fix too. Bring the powerlines forward in the rendering hierarchy?

I really expected it would be fixed with the new clouds. It's not fun when you fly 20 minutes NOE in helos, and crash into power lines not showing up...
