Hi, firstly, awesome job on the weather it looks awesome! Now the sound of the rain does increase with the a/c speed very nicely, but I did notice that while I was between showers and no visual clue to there being rain in the immediate vicinity that the rain sounds was still there. Even external view wasn't showing rain.

Maybe not raining heavy enough to show up visually, but the sound is still there?

It's probably all still WIP, but just in case, I came here to report the same 🙂

In between clouds/showers (bright clear sky above me), I still hear the rain sound effect.

Also, I think we need a rain sound volume slider, because I hardly believe that irl you'd hear the rain this loud over the sound of your blazin' afterburner and through the pilots helmet. I'd happily be corrected if I'm wrong here.

I do have to say though, that the rain sound effects really add to the feeling of speed!

Hi Flappie, you're missing the point. This thread is about rain on canopy noise.

(Not about the canopy droplets)

Edit:

@Flappie, I just saw this video on YT and someone commented that he couldn't hear the rain sound effect. So you might need to increase some volume slider in order to hear the effect we are talking about.

This bug report specifically mentioned that the rain sound effect is also heard when flying in clear sky (in-between overcast clouds) when there is no rain. So that's something that needs to be corrected at some point.

This also needs a separate volume control. I don't use the "Hear like in helmet" option so the rain noise is hella loud.

With the "Hear like in helmet" option set to on, it also seems overly loud

(Haven't flown the real thing, but I can't imagine one would hear the rain this loud over all the jet noise. But as I said before, please correct me if I'm wrong)

Here's Mover's brief thoughts about it. He mentions it from 12:30-13:30 into the vid.

Hotfix today for rain drops sound bug. Hopefully this is what it's referring to. Unfortunately, I don't have time to check it out right now.
