topol-m Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Guys could someone explain the difference in the vanilla and the modded MFD of the Su-27/33 on one of the pictures above? What are these dotted lines and the circle showing? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Kuky Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Doted lines would have to be 10° increments and circle is range PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
topol-m Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Doted lines would have to be 10° increments and circle is range Ok with the lines, but what kind of range is the circle representing? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Wilde Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Range Ring for easy range prediction. Range Ring is 'calibrated' to 50 km range at 128 km display setting, and 100 km range for 256 km display setting. That's what the description of the MiG29 MFD mod says. You can find it at lockonfiles.com, downloads -> utilities+mods -> cockpit-mods. Great pics again, Ricardo. This looks so damn awesome!

RICARDO Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 thanks for the support guys:smilewink: i know that it takes long time for the release but work is growing as far as i go in that project. to give you an example : the right console of the 27 (that i didn't wanted to do at the begining) takes me 5 days with 8 or 9 hours work a day. so release is some time delayed but the quality should be at the end....:joystick:
OldCrow Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Awesome work Ricardo! Dont worry about releasing it quickly, cause you dont want to release an unfinished product with alot of complaints about stuff not being in hd. Take your time and release it when you are happy with it. IMHO it will still be one of the biggest improvements in lockon to date! Keep up the good work!:thumbup: [sIGPIC]http://www.virtualredarrows.com/member_sigs/vra2012_crow.png[/sIGPIC]
Vekkinho Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Release it along the 3GO Su-27 V1.5 patch! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
104th_Crunch Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Ricardo, sorry if this has been asked before, can you tell me please if the new textures effect frame rate performance? Merci
RICARDO Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 Ricardo, sorry if this has been asked before, can you tell me please if the new textures effect frame rate performance? Merci hello crunch, as far as i know the beta versions didn't had important frame rate killing. on my computer with the cdds it works very well. it use to be a problem when the files were in the temp texture file. ask kung fu about that he has a beta version. cheers. 2
SuperKungFu Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 right now I didn't see a drop in fps because it is compressed into a cdds file so it is running fine so far. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Aeroscout Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 (edited) RICARDO'S MOD HAS BEEN SPOTTED ON YOUTUBE! Of course... it's the beta version... BUT WHO CARES! :music_whistling: *sigh* EDIT: Ricardo, sorry if this has been asked before, can you tell me please if the new textures effect frame rate performance? No noticeable FPS drop for me either. Edited May 11, 2009 by Aeroscout DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices
