So with 2.7 release and the new clouds...I'm feeling as if most of the servers have TOO much cloud. Id rather see land, distance etc. Don't get me wrong...the new clouds are awesome for example..the syria map is beautiful and I'm unable to enjoy it coz most servers currently have cloud cover so low you can't see anything.

This will change later, the presets are just an interim until we get the planned weather configuration tool, once we get that we'll be able to customise the weather as we see fit (though hopefully the presets will stay, just to provide a way to do it quickly, and even better if we can save our own presets).

It is up to the mission designer to set the cloud pre-set. It can be difficult to please everyone

Later there will be more weather tools and options.

thanks

My opinion is not against ED, I'm super happy with 2.7.Nor versus mission designer, they are free to develop their mission with all the (wonderful) clouds they want. Mine was only an affirmative reply to a question. I have no complaints, give me super cloudy missions or clear sky, I will fly all of them

Hey, no worries, we welcome all feedback.

I have even had to abort a mission recently due to cloud cover 🙂

i think it would be extremely helpful to have the option to mix 2 different presets and roughly locate the zones for each preset on the map: this could be a significant improvment until the full weather-overhaul is ready.

It would be great to have the option to save own presets when the final weather system is implemented. Also a plus one for having different weather in different areas of the map. The new clouds are already awesome tho. They made it so that the most stressful part of a mission the other day was finding the runway of my alternate with the ground radar of the Hornet 😄

I would have to agree, I love the new clouds in 2.7 to death but it seems like every match I join that either its complete white out conditions all the way to the ground or cloud base at like 4000ft making CAS impossible and irritating. There really needs to be less fog at ground level less often.

I love the new clouds in 2.7 and it looks really good, but it has to have its limits too!

After playing several times on my favorite server 4ya, I had to cancel my attacks several times due to the bad weather conditions and the mission simply cannot be won! (See screenshots. These are clouds, not fog!)

Due to the new cloud system you can no longer see the world, you only see clouds and the map of syria is really beautiful.

The AI can easily see through clouds and shoot me and I just don't know where the enemy is.

This is something that will be addressed late in development
