Sandman1330 Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 Hey team, I'm having an issue with the INS align getting stuck. Using auto-start and time compression, the align just gets stuck at some point before completion. It doesn't happen all the time, but happened 3 tries in a row on this one campaign mission. Track attached (too large for forums): https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ascm8Kmu7NR0g_5QsJ17H8XNVg3PYA?e=mbCJhn Ryzen 7 5800X3D / Asus Crosshair VI Hero X370 / Corsair H110i / Sapphire Nitro+ 6800XT / 32Gb G.Skill TridentZ 3200 / Samsung 980 Pro M.2 / Virpil Warbrd base + VFX and TM grips / Virpil CM3 Throttle / Saitek Pro Combat pedals / Reverb G2
Hulkbust44 Posted June 29, 2021 Posted June 29, 2021 Can't look at the track right now, but was the parking brake set and air source set to off?Mobius708
Sandman1330 Posted June 30, 2021 Author Posted June 30, 2021 (edited) Huh, ya know what? I may have released the parking brake early. Was short on play time and might have been trying to multitask (letting the auto start work while I did other things) Does releasing the brake automatically stop the align, or does the aircraft have to move? Whistler_RIO Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 quite the opposite. the AC should be set to BOTH for alignment

Air source is dependent on the engine start procedure. BreaKKer CAG and Commanding Officer of: Carrier Air Wing Five // VF-154 Black Knights
Naquaii Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 The INS align should run regardless of Air Source but it should be set to Both as soon as the engines are up and running as it's needed for electronics cooling in general.
captain_dalan Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 (edited) Weird, mine got stuck on GS Marianas last night after i landed on the carrier and went engines off to reset the crew. You know you can just tell the crew to reset for another start through the ground crew comms menu? No need for engines off.
