Prophet Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Ok so I registered, and tried to buy. But it says I don't have enough in my account. So somehow I have to figure out how to transfer funds.
Gary Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 Prophet, Can you let me know please if you manage to get to the point of actually downoading. I'd really appreciate it...maybe jump on here whilst its downloading, cause I doubt we will see much of you for a while if it does work!!! Thanks in anticipation I5 - 1TB SSHD, 256 SSD - Nvidia 1070 - 16gb ram - CV1
funkman Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 The only viable option to pay for us is Webmoney or Yandex Dengi. Webmoney has english version so a bit easier but I havent managed to transfer any money onto webmoney as yet. Aparently it is possible to transfer PayPal to Webmoney I haven't managed it just yet.
Grave Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Damn it... I was told the download version wont be out at all. :( Now is it possible for western customers to download it?
Prophet Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 http://www.wmtransfer.com/ for those interested. It seems the best option. I will update if I get through.
Prophet Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 God damn it. I cant do Webmoney because they register your account by sending an SMS to a cell phone. Which I dont have activated on my phone. So I gotta go activate that first.
ryuzu Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 (edited) For some reason WM won't send me the SMS code anyway - not sure what the problem is but I'll try again with that. - Ahhh typo in my phone number.... But regardless, the PayPal->WM transfer incurs a 14% commission!! I'd rather give that to ED/1C if they'd put a simpler method of payment on the thing... r. Edited October 31, 2008 by ryuzu
EvilBivol-1 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I'd rather give that to ED/1C if they'd put a simpler method of payment on the thing...As they surely will when the western release is ready. Prophet Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Because it is available else where. And considering the amount of time we have been waiting already, and considering there is really nothing new in the sim world for a very long time, and considering some of the broken elements in LOMAC....... We want something new. No offense, but its either that or pirate it..... I think this option is probably much more agreeable. Of course you could always facilitate us and make it easier. I mean really, we are going to get it one way or another, no need to make it difficult :D 1
Gary Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 EB, You been chatting to my wife?...."wait" were her sentiments too...lol However, with respect, thats easy for you to say whilst your flying around.....lol I just love flight sims, theres a shock....and there has not been one released I have not bought (some stay on the HD longer than others of course) but every small step forward is welcome. Im happy to pay for this to play around with until the version I can read and use effectively comes out...for someone who spends hours on my hobbie, frankly the cost is neglible... BUT...I do accept your comment is sensible....(when did common sense come into our hobby?) My kids (18 and 16) piss themselves at dad sat in front of the TV (HDMI) with joysticks in my hand flying away.....they reckon "Im sad"...as they say. Here is one reason, an d I can give you more if You want.... GGTharos wrote few minutes ago..... It included things such as the following: New cockpit modeling with fully working instrumentation. Instrumentation and systems that have as close to realistic behavior as possible given available resources. Flight model rewriting and improvements. Control model/systems improvements. Fuel flow, hydraulics, blah blah blah systems modeling - there's so much of this stuff I don't even remember it to list it point by point! SDK developments. Ground AI improvements (you might find it lacking still, but it doesn't mean it wasn't worked on) Flight AI improvements (that you haven't noticed tells me you haven't looked close enough) - specifically, aircraft being moved to the SFM and helicopters to the AFM. Completely redone target detection and engagement logic and sensor modeling (pilot view restrictions, sensor restrictions - just as a minimum) Weapons flights/sensor modeling rewritten for a number of weapons. Editor rewritten from scratch. GUI rewritten from scratch ... Whole new controller input system higher resolution height map mesh for terrain higher texture resolution of terrain much higher object density on terrain (buildings, trees, etc.) new turbulence system new multiplayer code system new log book system new campaign system trigger and events system in ME vastly improved helo AI improved ground AI many new AI units at much greater levels of detail advanced dynamics for rockets shells and some missiles support for multi-monitors and 6 DDOF whole new ground support comms and capabilities new data link systems radio line of sight modeling missions can be alive as the mission designer wants I´m dying to buy a legal copy of the game as fast as posible Simple. 2 [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic56197_1.gif[/sIGPIC] AMD Phenom IIx4 955 Black Edition@3.2Ghz Asus M4A785TD-M EVO 6Ghz DDR3 1033 NVidia Geforce GTX 570 hd1280 Mb GDDR5

CAT_101st Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Scuda we are all in the same boat here. I would love to get it as well. and some of theas guys have ben waiting for it over 4 years. If they can wait that long I can wait a few more months for it. ryuzu Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Will the paypal 'credit card' option not work in this instance? In this case no - well not directly. The 1C site needs to be credited with 300 rubles - approx £7 or about US$13 to buy the download (which is far too little of course - I imagine everyone here would only look on this as a paid demo/early access and get the Western Version next year). To credit your 1C account you can do a bank transfer, use a 1C prepay card, use WebMoney or Yandex.Money. Bank Transfer is going to be tricky unless you're set up with a Russian account :) I won't ask what that may be/may have been for - maybe you just like Vodka! 1C prepay cards are a possiblity I guess - may be able to get one from ebay but potentially comes with complications. Webmoney is probably the best and easiest option. However WebMoney is a South American based company and the only way to charge your WebMoney account directly is yet again a bank transfer of some kind... Finally Yandex.Money is a bit like WebMoney - going to need a bank transfer to get money in (Yandex is apparently the Russian equivalent of Yahoo). So to get money into Webmoney, there is an option through yet another company to do a PayPal payment. This third company will take a payment via PayPal and credit it to your Webmoney account and then that can charge your 1C account and hey presto. However the third company want a 14% commission, need to text to your mobile phone, and also it seems the process is human driven (i.e. they need a person to do the job, it's not automated their end). This latter bit doesn't make me comfortable - passing various details all over the place only to rely on someone to get your paypal "cash" and type it into a WebMoney account entry :/ Still, at only about £9/$17 total I guess that's the cheapest access to a flight sim of BS's quality you'll ever get - even if all the writing is unintelligible to non-Russian readers... I'm just toying with the idea of going through with it and then ditching the Paypal account just to avoid any risk of getting robbed later :P As for waiting, well, besides the philosophical point, it's available right now - while the process is risky I've seen worse and certainly more expensive ones... :pilotfly: r.
CQB4Me Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 I wish you good luck Ryuzu. I hate to say it, but you may be the test "ginnie pig" for the process. I hope it works out ok, and you can give us a report how it went and how to do it (if you can pry yourself away from the game that is). And I like your comment on this d/l. That it is like a paid demo for the short-term, until the western demo is out. I mean that price is so ridiculously small. I don't mind paying $20 for a week or so of game play until the west demo comes out.
Prophet Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 I think a method will eventually be found. I mean damn it, how hard is it to transfer money. I have done it to european countries for Cougar mods, and sensors and all sorts of crap. Why TF is this so hard LOL!
blitz-hawk Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Here's how I'm looking at it, for what it's worth. Atleast right now we have an approximate release date. I know it's not exact, but it's not so much "when it's done" anymore. The product is essentially finished. Now it's just a matter of the translations being finished and sending it off to be rated. The wait can't be much more than a few months at this point. This knowledge alone is leaps and bounds above what we had before, atleast in my point of view. Being someone who's been waiting for BS since it was a rumour, I can wait the extra few months. Imagine if ED had waited for all versions to be complete before announcing that the sim was gold and releasing it in Russia. Where would we be? Things would be exactly like they were a month ago and we would still all just be waiting, none the wiser. Atleast this way we get to see a lot of screenshots and videos, as well as miniature reviews and other insights from our friends on the Russian boards (who have been great I might add). For the more pessimistic ones out there, we're getting an extra 3-4 months of large-scale beta testing. Hang in there guys! The demo is just around the corner and the waiting is almost over.
CAT_101st Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 I am hopping for the beta on my B-day Nov 10th :music_whistling: Home built PC Win 10 Pro 64bit, MB ASUS Z170 WS, 6700K, EVGA 1080Ti Hybrid, 32GB DDR4 3200, Thermaltake 120x360 RAD, Custom built A-10C sim pit, TM WARTHOG HOTAS, Cougar MFD's, 3D printed UFC and Saitek rudders. EvilBivol-1 Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Why TF is this so hard LOL! I'm sorry, but this is now which time that we have go through this? DCS is not the first nor last product to be released at different times in different markets. In fact, it's pretty typical and usually it's the rest of the world that gets the short end of that stick. So we too had to bite the bullet on this one and nobody really likes its, but it's time to get over it. If you are so desperate to buy it and cannot wait a few weeks for the demo, please do whatever you need to do to try and buy the Russian version, but don't expect ED to break their business partnerships to appease your impatience. The "TF" and "ridiculuous" comments aren't helping anyone get there any faster. 1 - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
