Is there any truth to that rumor? There was an early render of an F-4E cockpit teased a few years ago, but the project was dumped (and looks like the AH-1 has gone the same way). Personally I'm hoping that one of HB's secret modules is an F-4, an F-4S makes the most sense for their Forrestal (which is an early 80s fit), though really we need at least an F-4B/N/J/S and an F-4E. WobblyFlops Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 There is a guy on Hoggit who wanted to start a Phantom development and actually went out to contact Boeing to negotiate the contract but they turned him down. All avionics and flight data about modern F-4s are classified because of Iran. As long as they still fly them, I wouldn't expect a Phantom. 2

Iran flies the F-14 and the F-5 so I am skeptical about this. 2
