Nellis AFB Photos

Dear all,

 

As many of you are already aware, Hawg11 has been working on a new terrain area that we hope to use for "DCS: A-10C Warthog". This Nellis AFB and range would be used for the training missions and training Red Flag missions. Hawg11 is now a member of the SimMod team (congrats Dave!) and the guys are now at the stage of creating and populating the map with objects. One area where good data is lacking is images of the various buildings of Nellis AFB at ground level - satellite images are not needed. Any support you can provide to them would be appreciated.

But enough of my sarcasm. Here's a pic from google earth. I think it's quite clear where the main hangars and buildings are.

EDIT: I think it's worth noting that that the airfield is not perfectly flat. (see airport diagram) The airfield elevation changes +- 20 feet or so.

I think in the last pic there is an F-22 parked in front of the tanker a/c, could be wrong though!

hey guys, can anybody give us pictures of the hangars and maybe the inside.

i also need the hight of the hangars.

the side dimensions are no problem just the hight is an issue i cannot figure. that would be a huge help, cause right now i am building the main hangars which are located all over the base area

A few not so known facts on Nellis. All Aircraft w/ Live ordnance take off to the NE and land fropm that direction. They do not Take-off/land over SW side of AF.

 

Also, They load aircraft w// ordance on the SOuth side of the Af near the tower, Not where all the hangers are :)
