Although the HUD looks much better now, I'm finding that in VR, my DDI's are now too dim to read without zooming in, and that's with max brilliance and contrast. DCS World OpenBeta/Mods/aircraft/F-16C/Cockpit/Scripts/Displays/HUD/indicator, then probably HUD_Page_defs.lua. Don't take my word for it I just did a quick look and that's my best answer.
