I am working on a lua and profile for the AH64D. Both will be publicly available. If you have any requests, input, or would like to help, please feel free to do so.

After playing around with your initial release - Works good - One function that I miss is the "Weapons trigger guard" - I don't wanna waste a switch on it, and I cant visually inspect it in the cockpit.

Other than that, I have some issues with the "Title text change on DCS update settings" with a few buttons - But got the most simple things setup now 🙂

From my understanding, because it is not clickable in the cockpit nor does it have an animation (right now), you wont be able to manipulate it. You CAN set it to a simple hotkey on the streamdeck.

I read somewhere that he KU buttons read all as KU in DCS-Interface. Yes, same here. You will have to reference the lua to pick the right ones.

For text changes you have to use the EXACT arg output as the key. For example, if you put the key as 0.1 but the script exports 0.1000, it will not work.

Am I missing something or are lights not exporting yet on the Apache?  For example, I can't get the master warning light to export like I can on the F-18.

I'm trying to find the lamps as well. I can get them to light up in the model viewer but there are a LOT of arguments to get through.

Cockpit button lights have been added to apache export! Whoo!

(Bones, the lamps.lua file, thankfully, had all of them listed, in order. A little cut here, paste there, and there ya go!)

The external master light switch in the Tomcat is the same way. no animation in the cockpit so there's no lua argument for it. bummer

Thank you for the update for the Apache. Very quickly done after the release which is amazing! 🙂

I haven't come across any of the controls so far export text strings which can be used to be displayed on the streamdeck. I need to setup DCS Bios correctly to try and dig deeper into this but wanted to put it as a question here as it might already been resolved.

As an example the F-16 has outputs that can be used to display the chaff numbers, remaining fuel, etc.

Hi.  I'm having an issue with the Apache .lua and DCS StreamDeck.  When I try and view the clickable data for the Apache in the StreamDeck DCS interface, I don't get any listings:

Screenshot-2022-03-24-174327.png

I do see them when I am looking at other modules:

Screenshot-2022-03-24-174309.png

I have tried copying the Apache .lua from github again, but that didn't work.  Anyone know how to resolve this?  Thanks!

The Lua does not effect that page at all. Try using the Update button at the top.

I have not had much time toook into it myself. It's kinda difficult to make a convincing argument for the apache because all of the stuff is right in front of you anyway, haha.

Thanks!  Update doesn't do anything unfortunately.

Hi, I installed the script but when I load into a mission there is a massive drop in performance. There is low FPS and DCS is super laggy and unusable. There is also nothing being exported to the stream deck. I have no other scripts or software running. When the export script is disabled the problem goes away. I looked in the logs and Export.log is completely filled with the following,

10:18:59:021 : Create UDPSender
10:18:59:021 : FlushData protect: nil
, string: "Cannot assign requested address"

I'm guessing that this error being triggered multiple times per second is causing the performance issue. Does anyone have an idea what the cause could be?

Looks like a possible routing/IP/Port problem. Try posting on the ICS-Interface thread.

I figured it out. My VPN (NordVPN) blocks 127.0.0.1 for some reason. Disabling the VPN solved the issue. Adding the local IP of the PC to the config file instead of 127.0.0.1 allows me to use the export script together with the VPN enabled.

It seems that the apache MPD information only updates when the screen is visible. Which makes sense for the user, but does not do too well for a stream deck. If anyone has suggestions or ideas for implementation, my ears are open. I figured that a SD profile for the apache would be interesting because all (most) of the information is already digital and "in your face" via the IHADSS and MPDs. With that said, it is easy to navigate the SD in VR, which is nice.

I am totally confused, why can I not get the values from new script to display. I know I am doing something stupid, or not doing something at all

I have downloaded the new export script for the AH64D_BLK_II.lua and placed it where it needs to be, but can't work out which value to put in the Title Text Change field

Sorry for being an idiot

Nah, you are fine. Juist takes time to learn a new skill. Take a look at the chart here: https://github.com/asherao/DCS-ExportScripts/wiki/AH-64D-Apache

You will see this line here:

Put 3004 in DCS-Interface here where it says "Title Text" > "DCS ID":

And that's it!

Check the DCS Comms button to see if you have DCS IDs 3000 - 3006.

I have nothing above 828

image.png

and yet you can see that I have the updated AH-64D_BLK_II.lua in the right path as per below

image.png

You can see from the image, at the top, the path to the export script and the content of the file containing the new information
