So what ever happened to FC4?

I recall seeing a video for it. It showed flyable FC3 F-5E, updated J-11. Not that I am complaining, I think that ED should go all in to DCS level modules. But then we wont ever get DCS level Fulcrum , FLanker, or Frogfoot. So FC level is best we can hope for for modern 4 and newer gen Russian types.

There are no plans to do FC4 or any more FC level modules. If you meant MAC - it will be separate product. It is WIP and takes longer because of increased scope than what was planned at first.

I meant MAC. As it is FC4. Mentioned that it would be a XBOX or Playstation and PC fame. I have 2018 vintage PS4, that is used only as my BlueRay.

A DCS level Fulcrum is actually planned for after Black Shark 3.

That's great to hear. But, is there an announcement. Perhaps I missed it in roadmap. I thought that ED is prohibited by Russian Gov from doing DCS level Gen 4 Russian tactical jets.

Well there is no annoucement and its official status is "planned". Also it wont be a modern Fulcrum, its going to be a very early MiG-29A 9-12 version.

There was no formal announcement yet, but the devs have said that a couple of times throughout this year.

The last time was in September in a Russian interview with the devs:

The MiG-29A is hardly a 4th Gen. And it was built by the soviet union.

Its still not clear what MAC is supposed to be. I think they wanted to compete with war thunder, but realized that they didnt have the resources. So its probably gonna be FC4 or just not happening at all. They did say they didnt want to make any more low fidelity modules, which would be detrimental for such a product. 1970s Sukhois and MiGs that havent been updated since 2010 dont sell.

We will reveal more on MAC soon, but you are mostly wrong there.
