Isn't 011 02 for OFP 92A? Unless I'm misreading this, Point 109 at your indicated reference says SEA radar can only go to 80.

However, checking 011 03 for OFP 15C, Page 14; says there that SEA can use all ranges.

Oop, good catch! You are correct for 011 02 for 92A, both say the scale itself has no limitations. I'll edit the OP.

Hi.

I may be wrong, but due to Earth curvature, more than 80 Nm is almost useless... (unless the earth is flat!) So no point in having more than that, If the "manual" is wrong in that point, I can't tell.

It all depends on the elevation of the emitting radar. At 30,000 ft, the radar's horizon can see around 180~200nm assuming a contact is at sea level.

The issue here is that the scale is limited to 80nm, its possible it should not be limited. I have reported for the team to investigate
