Slippa Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Mrs Slippa asked me how this was going today, made me chuckle. I updated her, so to speak. (Chance would be a fine thing ) 3

Tonker Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Distinct lack of appreciation from that nasty little chap at the back! Gorgeous pic. Excitement +1 2 Nah, I've only just met 'er...:pilotfly:
BrianTheBrain Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Some photos courtesy of Loki A bit of work going into turrets right now, that's the first big "multicrew" bit being fully fleshed out atm. As you can see the 3d model and textures for the turrets are still being worked on. Multicrew wise there's some DCS core issues that we are battling but I'm sure we will find workarounds (that or you can write your local DCS community moderator to get us SDK access) but I'm going full throttle on multicrew. We may have larger update for you guys soon. 16 4 Project Lancaster. Helping a little on Caffeine T-38C. F-111C because why not. T-6 Texan because its awesome (if you have to ask then no not that one, I hate that one). A few secret projects in the works. Please hire me to program an SBD Dauntless.
Tonker Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Thanks for the update @BrianTheBrain! I know most of the real work lies under the hood, but she's really starting to look the part. Simply glorious. On multicrew, are there plans for gameplay-useful bomb aimer/nav/flight engineer positions? 3 Nah, I've only just met 'er...:pilotfly:
ggrewe Posted January 17 Posted January 17 With Berlin map on the way can convert to WWII with level 9 destruction? Apologies upfront, to any Berliners 2
Slippa Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Well done team, nice little surprise update. Looking good too. @NineLine, @BIGNEWY, any chance you can work something out with the team please? Now’s a good time to help em out. We’re all gagging to jump in the Lanc and you can do your bit to help grease the wheels. Support the community, bring your metaphorical pots and pans. 4

On multicrew, are there plans for gameplay-useful bomb aimer/nav/flight engineer positions? Some parts of the navigator are *technically* complete, as there are things like the E6B which require literally only animations. But there are other systems there, and the goal is to have *every* crew slot be completely playable, and fun. From first hand experience, the bombardier position is very fun gameplay wise 2 2 Project Lancaster. Helping a little on Caffeine T-38C. F-111C because why not. Tonker Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Woop, thanks @BrianTheBrain, extra exciting! If we take a position half-way between @Enigma89's 'DCS as a digitial historic aviation museum' and @Reflected'd 'DCS as a digitial historic experience simulator' then I think even the average user (and I am very average!) will get a lot from being to put themselves in these positions. Someone famously used to play Silent Hunter 3 in real time, blogging their progress as daily logs, so for sure someone will want to sit in in VR on an uncomfy seat with the windows open and their buttkicker set to max continuous shaking them to bits for hours on end to experience life as a tail gunner...but I can't imagine many. However, a go at navigating, or post-damage engine and fuel management, or the final minute on the run into target leant over the bombsight will add so much to the value of this community Lanc from both perspectives. Thank you all, and well done. Per ardua ad astra! 4 Nah, I've only just met 'er...:pilotfly:

That someone is most definitely me! If we had world map, I'd definitely be ferrying freshly built Lanc III's from Canada to the war. 3 Project Lancaster. Helping a little on Caffeine T-38C. Lest we forget. 3
Slippa Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Glad to hear of the progress, well done team . For super-simulation we’ll need an air-con unit blowing ice cold air at us o course . Extra chilly if we’ve knocked out some perspex for better vision. Makes me shiver just thinking about it. Can’t wait 2
MegaTherion666 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 This mod will fundamentally change the DCS WWII experience. Can't wait. 2

Slippa Posted January 25 Posted January 25 I’m hoping for some thought for the 40s with the German map. (Don’t say that with a mouthful of biscuits) It’s no mystery where we’ll be flying to. Apart from training from our glorious OTU airfields, under bridges, bombing ranges etc. Gonna be fun. Bit of formation flying with escorts, smoke me a kipper, back for breakfast. 2

BrianTheBrain Posted January 27 Posted January 27 lol, when fulda comes out ill try and make a campaign where half of the missions are just rtb through normandy. that would be fun. 3 Project Lancaster.
