Please keep NS430 pop-up in an absolute space in VR like the kneeboard (not floating constantly in front of player view)

amazing... although i didnt try your mod... everything that you are getting it to do, is what i am looking for!

will try it soon @lefuneste01

i dont need to see the knobs, just the NS430 screen, showing it as similar to show control indicators is all that i want...

i like to check if the NS430 screen follows your view around... that is what is annoying about using the NS430 in VR

No, it will remain stuck in lower right edge of the GUI area. You can see in one screenshot that part of it is out of VR FoV when looking slghtly  to the left.

hope this passes integrity check!

**update***

the mod did not work for me.

im running DCS with the open composite with openXR toolkit on a WMR headset (no steamVR)

i loaded 3Dmigoto VR mod with JSGME

i toggle on the NS430 in the Huey UH1H with normal DCS key assignment to bring up the NS430 and it is appearing as it was floating in space relative to headmovement.

i see keymapping ini files in the mod folder... in the game i tried ALT F7 and SHIFT F7, nothing happens..

im not sure how to turn on the mod in game....

help @lefuneste01

See the troubleshooting guide in first post. There is a specific process and version for openXR.

i see i have to look for dos box

  1. The loader program ([DCSInstall]\bin\3dmigoto\3DMigoto Loader.exe) must start first before launching the DCS game. This loader program will open a MSDOS windows and wait for DCS to launch.

will trouble shoot!

Can you show me where it’s located in the huey?

Where you will want to put it, as soon as it remain in the grey rectangle you can see when pressing ESC key to have menu displayed.

You define the position by setting these variables in a config file :

;-----------------------
; NS430 GPS
;-----------------------
$NS430_hide = 1.0
$NS430_XPOS = 0.63
$NS430_YPOS = 0.87
$NS430_Scale = 7.6

Here is where I will use it on the HIND, finally. I had to tune the scale because it is at the lower limit of the grey rectangle. The display is a bit "of plane", but I'll cope with it.

I just need to test a bit to be sure there is no side effects before releasing the version with the NS430 feature.

im still having trouble getting it to work.

this time i ran the DOS box loader, and enabled the 3DmigotoDCS_VR_x.y via JSGME

also my DCS install is on another M.2 drive (so it is not in programs folder)

i can bring up the 3DmigotoDCS  F7 menus,

but when i toggle on the NS430.. it still the same as before floating in my view, following my head..

any suggestions @lefuneste01

Maybe it's because I still not have release the version with this feature ?

As I wrote above I need to test it a bit before releasing it...

im still hoping for native VR support for proper VR implementation of the NS430

its nice that it is working in VR

but having it not to constantly float in front of my face is the main thing i ask for.. should not require a mod to do so..

same with petrovich and georgie Ai menus

I did not found issue, so the v17 is available in mod thread. See the first post explanation to configure or use it.
The display in Mi24 cockpit map is too dark when at dusk or night, I may do something later but you can still use the display in GUI frame that is less integrated but more readable.

as of Open Beta 2.8.1.34667, the NS430 pop-up panel floats in front of the player view and stays in front of view no matter where i look,

it is very annoying.

other pop-ups, including the show controls indicator, the kneeboard do not do this!! please have the NS430 stay in one place instead of following the player view, it is almost unusable... having to always turn on/off popup just to look at NS430, then turn off to do other cockpit functions/flying, then turn it back on.. then off.. then on.

having the NS430 pop up, it is more intuitive to glance over NS430 to do something, then glance to other areas of importance in cockpit..

sincerely

  • hannibal changed the title to please keep NS430 popup in VR in a fixed position (not floating relative to player view)

not sure if this is forgotten.

current implementation of NS430 pop is less than ideal in VR, leaves me semi crossed eyed, and annoying to work with other areas around cockpit.

can we please set NS430 Virtual Reality Pop-up in an absolute/fixed position like kneeboard or show controls indicators and not relative to player view?

pretty please..

Even the new FPS counter is in an absolute / fixed position that is comfortably viewable

We are discussing the ns430, not the mi24 moving map nor are we discussingabout mods.

Read a bit above, you will see I pushed my mod for information and then had question about it in this thread. I anwsered and there have been some other post about it, even if I agree it was out of topic.

i like your mode 2.. even if the NS430 screen (instead of the whole NS430) would be great being in one spot, not moving around relative to where i am looking at

The screen is not moving in mode 1. It is tied to the menu/briefing area. The issue (not in my side) is the NS430 not working in MT and VR, with or without the mod...
