SENSOR CONTROL QUESTION

In the documentation under HOTAS, this switch has 4 positions referenced, FORWARD, AFT, LEFT, RIGHT. 

Under OPTIONS, CONTROLS, F/A 18-SIM, 'HOTAS' category, there's an additional option SENSOR CONTROL SWITCH 'DEPRESS'

Is this additional button used for anything in the sim, or is is  planned for anything?

Depress and right for manual IFF interrogation.

Rest of the functions aren't implimented yet.

Correct, the Depress function acts as a modifier, and IIRC the function for manual IFF is Depress then SCS towards the radar format (which normally would be on the right DDI anyway). You can also enable automatic IFF from the AZ/EL page.

Probably not the whole time, Depress used to just command an IFF interrogate. It changed maybe a year ago? Oddly they didn't add any of the other Depress+Direction functions at the time, just changed how IFF works.

Yes, this information on the EA F18 DCS manual is incorrect. you should report it in F18 bug section.
