After updating to 2.7.10 water stopped rendering properly beyond a distance of around ~5miles. This is reproduced across F/A-18, Viggen and F-14 leading me to believe it's not aircraft specific. The best way I can describe it, that it's a large square that follows the aircraft over water and there are two sets of textures. One is high fidelity which is close and low fidelity that is far away - however they are completely mismatched

Turned the water textures all the way up and down - no change

Did the usual, shader delete, DCS clean, DCS repair etc... to no avail

Specs - 3900x 6900xt 64GB Ram Win11 all latest everything with full WinWing setup and G2 Rendering everything on high except for shadows and clouds

There's a workaround, if you can afford it: don't use the "Low" Water setting.

Same problem here.

Water quality setting has no effect on the bug, still there at low, medium or high.

please include a screenshot with water setting at high, is it exactly the same issue for you? Can you also include your dcs.log from that test.

thanks

My bad, I mixed visibility range and water quality.  The bug goes away effectively at medium and high water quality setting.  Here are my screenshots at medium, low and high:

Same issue here, goes away with medium quality instead of low for water.

Is it planned to be fixed ? This is making carrier operations pretty hard and I clearly can't afford above medium setting due to FPS loss.
