Assigned Force IPD Distance value for each aircraft

Consider IPD distance aka World Scale is to be set globally, not for each module separately.

It changes the whole world scale.

You would have tiny Bonsai trees around, tiny buildings etc. when flying i.e. Huey and some massive overgrown trees and huge houses when flying i.e. Hind.

It's module designer's job to set one unified scale in each module.

The IPD is the measurement of the distance between your pupils,  that would be a constant no mater what module you have loaded  So why should it be set on each module individually?

Not all cockpits are uniform scale for VR yet. Ideally they would be, but until then this would be useful. This is for the IPD setting in DCS under VR options, which is more like 'cockpit scale'. Could be added under existing per-module Special menu.

This.

In retrospect I should have added additional detail, but you covered it exactly.

So instead of fixing some of the cockpit sizes by its devs you prefer to have all world wrong just to have proper cockpit size?

Yes, because it's been an issue for a while now that hasn't been addressed. It could be years more before some modules are fixed.

Adding a separate IPD setting for each module could be done quicker (the setting is already there, just needs a per-module override), and would allow VR users to have greater enjoyment of the sim until the time comes when all modules are updated.

If you can get the cockpits fixed, then yes, do that.

Until then this is the best, and possibly simplest, alternative available.

Having said that, adjusting the Force IPD Distance value while in the jet isn't necessarily that arduous either, since you can do it without leaving the cockpit.

Nope, the most simple is to leave it like it is.. Not sure if it changed, but I'm pretty sure you can change the IPD setting at all times, without having to restart the game. It can literally be done in seconds. Considering that most cockpits (especially the more recent modules) are scaled quite correct, IPD shouldn't have to be changed a whole lot anyways.

Sorry for maybe stepping on toes here, and I'm not against the OP's wish, it's just that I agree that the problem of incorrectly sized cockpits should be addressed for those modules where this applies.

Correct. I had modified my last post to mention that.

I'm not sure individual IPD settings would be the best solution, obviously fixing cockpit scales would be ideal, but if adding something to the options menu is the best path, then it needs to be called something like cockpit scale and something we could use as a reference point. I think fixing the cockpit scale would be the best option.

his would be the easiest option but not the best

However fixing the modules would be the best option. Since a per module solution will require that I know what the right size should be
