Cursor functions won't bind, cursor press does

As in the title , in the Apache I can't bind the cursor l/r and u/p to my Warthog throttle, either in axis(preferred) or key commands. Cursor press does assign. It's not a cursor fault as it's still working fine in the Hornet.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Same for me. 

I can bind the x and z axis  of the hocas cursor and see it moving in the control setup so I know the binding is fine. 

once in the cockpit, I can move the cursor but if it touches the side of the screen, it becomes frozen and I cant move it anymore. 

I swap the cursor to the other screen where it appears in the middle but still cant move it around with the cursor hat. I press cursor enter, screen swap again and again and still no joy despite having correct input sensing in the axis setup... 

other modules cursor works fine still but hornet cursor has a different way of moving then before too. I ll repport in hornet bugs.

I also have the cursor stuck to the screen edge once it touches there. Doesn't seem to be hardware related, using a Virpil collective with an alpha grip.

I noticed that the cursor in most cases will freeze when it touches the screen edge. However if I center (let go) of my axis hat mapped up to the cursor (TM Warthog throttle). Then I will be able to move the cursor again.

I haven't tested how the cursors are working in pit,yet, but I did manage to get the axis' to assign to the throttle cursor. I was comparing the Apache setup with the DCS Hornet. If you look at the "key/button" drop down in the  axis Assignment Panel, the same joy_x and joy_y are listed for the throttle. If you select them from that list they will assign. So, the problem seems to be that the UI is not "seeing" you when you try to assign via moving the cursor up/down/left/right

Hi, Nine. Please explain-tracks? Also, to update my earlier post, the cursors are now working in'pit, as well. They do seem a bit "sticky" when at the edge of the display, but they don't get "stuck"

Same. Cursor gets stuck once it gets to the dugout area. Nothing moves it after.

I've read that setting a dead zone fixes the issues. Haven't tried that yet.

What do you use to get it to show up in the first place? I press some button to get it to show up, from which point it proceeds to freeze in the center of either screen.

But the cursor has 4 buttons (u,d,l,r)... not axis ....

Hi

 

I use the Virpil AH64 collective. The same. In the desktops Virpil Setup programm all works fine, but no reaction in DCS under the control settings or in came touching/slewing the cursor hat. Just Pressing it works (Btn 18)

 

Virpil Support doesnt know either. They asked me to change the Unit ID in the desktops setup software to something else 4-digit. Don´t know if this is possible with winwing, VKC, Thrustmaster and Co.

 

I am not at home and cannot try, but let me know if it works for you guys please

How did you bind the cursor moves in DCS? My virpil apache collective works fine and I can slew/ move the cursor.

did you do any settings for this in the Virpil desktop software?

 

maybe you could post or PN me screenshots of your setting?

You are setting up the cursor controls as an axis, yes?  Sounds like you are trying to bind an analog stick on your hardware to a set of 4 digital button presses in DCS.

I have set it as axis commands as Floyd1212 asked you.

It‘s hocas cursor controller x and y axis.

Binding is JOY_RX and JOY_RY.
