Razor18
I did not find it among the bugs, sorry if brought up elsewhere. If I'm not mistaken, every time when a wingmen or other friendly Apache takes a Hellfire shot, my CMWS goes off, making me frantically looking for the threat. If am right about this, then is it true to life as it is in DCS? I wouldn't think so, because it is pretty contraproductive even in a sim, let alone in RL. Buy I'm happy to be corrected, if I'm wrong in any regard. Edited April 10, 2022 by Razor18
Solution Vakarian Posted April 10, 2022 Solution Share Posted April 10, 2022 CMWS sees a missile launch and it warns you. It doesn't know if the rocket plume at the back of the missile is from a friendly or enemy aircraft. That's why it's important to call your shot before you shoot so if you call "rifle" and then your friendlies CMWS starts yelling, there are good chances it picked up your launch. This is working as intended, not a bug.
Raven (Elysian Angel)
That's how it's supposed to work. Wags mentioned that in the video he made about the topic. okopanja
That is one of the reasons why you announce your launch in advance.

IRL the CMWS can sometimes even get triggered by a sun reflection on a window or a water surface. YoYo
Yes, its not a bug, system doesnt know that missile is out or enemy. Use Bypass option, not Auto on CMWS panel.
