Exorcet Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 When in TWS mode, I find that a second contact is consistently dropped even if it's not maneuvering. Track attached. ED Team NineLine Posted April 30, 2022 ED Team Posted April 30, 2022 Strange, I am not seeing it, tried your track in OB and our internal versions and everything seems fine. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Moonshine Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 downloaded his track and ran it on my end, no mods, latest public OB version, same result as OP. as he bugs the first contact and fires, the lock drops as you can see from the symbology. this happens 2 more times before he then switches to the second contact to engage. after that, the locks are held with no issue. maybe run it with the exact same OB version as the one we report the bugs from and from which the trackfiles are created? if its no longer an issue in an internal build, one can only hope that this makes it into the next patch then, alongside the other radar threads 2
ED Team NineLine Posted April 30, 2022 ED Team Posted April 30, 2022 As I said above, I ran it with our internal and OB, which is the exact same version, provided he is fully updated. I saw the target blink for a split second when it first appeared, but then it was fine. On the internal version it didnt blink at all. I had someone else test ad same thing, although I believe they only tried an internal version. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

Moonshine Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 (edited) ran the track again, here is the log as NL said, there is some sort of blinking happening which looks like it drops the lock, not sure if the lock really drops or if its just a symbology shenanigan and the lock is kept throughout. dcs.log Edited April 30, 2022 by Moonshine 1
Exorcet Posted April 30, 2022 Author Posted April 30, 2022 New track and logs, multiple radar contact drops, I am up to date on OB: RadarTrackFailure2.trk dcs.log 2 Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files
RuskyV Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 This behaviour also seems to tie in with the ECM when used using the radar over jamming priority. I can’t confirm if this above behaviour is expected in this mode, however I know the radar should be turning off if the ECM is used in jamming priority. Not sure if the ECM pod was used in the example above but it’s behaviour definitely sounds similar..

No ECM was involved. @BIGNEWY is this still unable to reproduce after the additional files provided, or is the tag just left over from earlier? I am just curious. A bit of analyze here: What I can say, there is something wrong with TWS mode atm, which you were using, but that will be fixed. Edited May 7, 2022 by skywalker22 PS: changed RWS to TWS.

I was in TWS, not RWS. You can also see me lose lock at 55 seconds. As soon as I use TMS right to switch targets, the second plane disappears from the radar. I have to TMS down to undesignate and then TMS right at 1:30 to make them both tracks. Only then could I switch to the second target and fire my second missile. TWS causes issues atm. Edited May 7, 2022 by skywalker22
