winghunter Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 (edited) This is pretty cool, I didnt know the NVclean exists to remove all the NVIDIA driver bloat. Even if you do a custom install with the default NVidia drivers and omit all extra options, Nvidia will install additional software. This tool helps to really strip anything but the drivers from the install package. Nodak Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/512-59-clean-version.433367/ There's already people providing cleaned up drivers, no need to go through that level of pain. 1
Burt Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 I’ve had absolutely no problems with updating the NVidia Drivers through NVidia GeForce Experience. I always do the Custom/clean install. Burt Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Okay yeah true but I don’t concentrate on perf numbers not unless is really serious and I can feel it. I have been tuned in with my HP G2 for over a year now and I don’t see or feel perf hits. But your right especially for lower spec systems. 1 ALIENWARE R11 - I9 10900KF @ 5.1 GHz - M.2 NVMe 2TB - RTX3090 - XFURY 64GB -3400 MHz RAM Monitor AW3420DW @ 120Hz - Virpil CM3 Throttle - TM TPR Rudder pedals - Virpil CM2 w/TM Hornet Stick Center - Monstertech Deck Mounts RealSimulator FSSB-R3 Lightning Base w/ F16SRGRH SideStick - VR user / Varjo Aero - Big Thx to mbucchia Start Date April 2020
dburne Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 I never install Geforce Experience and only install the drivers themselves. edmuss Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Don't forget all you people with a 3090 saying 'I don't bother and don't notice a difference', gaining 1ms from debloating the GPU drivers can make a significant difference to a 3070. I've never installed anything other than phsyx and the GPU driver and still gained a small amount of uplift from this. Incremental gains means you can get significant performance from mid-range hardware 1 Ryzen7 7800X3D / RTX3080ti / 64GB DDR5 4800 / Varjo Aero / Leap Motion / Kinect Headtracking TM 28" Warthog Deltasim Hotas / DIY Pendular Rudders / DIY Cyclic Maglock Trimmer / DIY Abris / TM TX 599 evo wheel / TM T3PA pro / DIY 7+1+Sequential Shifter / DIY Handbrake / Cobra Clubman Seat Shoehorned into a 43" x 43" cupboard.
zildac Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Tried this today for the first time and I really like the idea, however it appears to stop FpsVR from running.
