Tomcatz, I have a lot of private photos of MiG-29 I took at various airshows, static displays and during flight program!

If you're looking for any particular part of the fuselage or undercarriage for texturing or modeling feel free to contact me!

I'd be glad to help U anytime when we're talking Fulcrum!

Nicely done TOMCATZ, I'm glad you're open to community suggestions.

And yes, we're the second greatest community after dissolution of the USSR! First place taken by China! Eternally! :megalol:

LOL! I'm kidding!

I really like the improvement that can be seen in your latest pics!

But my eye sees slightly too strong offset of engine exhausts in thumb No4 (IMHO a bit too pronounced). It may be lighting related so it only seems like that but here the blueprint (just in case).

Keep it up TOMCATZ!

Cool camo!

How many and which camos are U planning to include?

Perhaps U should get in touch with SVK Fox, he created a Slovak MiG-29AS mod, modernized version of Slovak Fulcrums and I remember it has IFF antenna in front of the EOS (similar or perhaps same as F-16Blk50 one). You can alter your 3D model later to create a spearate version that includes additional poligons to simulate such antenna for use with Fox' mod!

Just my 2 cents!

Nice work, keep it up!

Hello Vekkinho,

yes, if you switch the camo in editor, all antennas switch to version mig-29AS- including IFF antennas. Its a couple with argument 70. I really don`t know wich camos I will create- Primary all airforces wich not present in LOMAC- I dream about a Ungarian, Polish, DDR and Iraqian Mig-29 corse there are 10 different russian and 3 ukrainian shemes in LOMAC but KNAAPO has even more partners around the world. I search for nice and inovative and modern shemes- I know. there are a lot of stoff about that- not easy but well. Nice to know: 20.109 triangles right know- Think it´s a good level for a new model including damage model and markings.

Thanks for the link to SVK Fox. The problem is- that I use complete new textures- not the LOMAC-textures. But Everybody who can help me with textures is very welcome. :smilewink:

My best wishes to all,

TOM

Please create as many "skin slots" as you can, I hate adding custom skins by replacing default ones!

I really like 426 th IAE from Erebuni paintjob:

and 31st GvIAP:

so I'd like to have these skins with your MiG-29 mod!

Now, I'll looks for the RL Russian AF MiG-29 camos and provide you with some pics!

The cockpit look a bit strange but i thought that would of been a higher Poly model ... is it higher? more detailed..? your pictures quality do not show much the differences. I guess it would be much better with a higher resolution.

Always good to see some 3D work ..

Making a 3D model requires a fair amount of skill many of us simply don't have (and challenging enough to deter many of even attempting to do so on their own) for you to worry about that. Your model looks great and is a product of hours of hard work and dedication. Never mind if the one we have in LOMAC "looks better" than yours or not, I don't think that's important, what's important is that you're satisfied with your work. There will always be room for improvement but I think your model looks great as it is.

Hello,

Thank you very much. Its allways good to hear seriously critic. So well, LOMAC was able to create very good models without using too much polys over all. Its hard to make it much better- sure, able if somebody use more them 50.000 polys. The problem is that my model should be online-playable.

I`m happy about my results? Oh yes- It looks "rounder" as before, have better arguments and a better damage model. ..and - juhuu:)- its online playable. Okay- my screnshots are a little bit poor without anti aliasing. I like it well. So I´m not worry- everybody have his opinion and it`s fair to talk about every position.

So my best wishes,

TOM

er, I'm sorry if I sound too harsh but to me LockOn MiG-29 model is actually more rounded than yours, at least judging from last 4 photos you posted. Never the less, you've still done a pretty good job on it, but I see lot more ways to improve it visually.
