Hello all,

Personally speaking, I need labels for SA due to no track IR or VR. Labels should be reserved as a way to find target easily for novice players. I'm sorry for that I don't like to use track IR or VR for some reasons. Thanks.

You can force your options over any mission in the General Options menu.

Yes I did. I always open the labels via General Options, but I didn't see labels neither. I will check it again later.

OK I was certain it worked that way (ie would allow you to force things). If not I will update the missions for next patch, no problem.

I have the problem with the other way around. Even though ive set the map to be just a map, in the mission. I still see my aircraft and others.

Not a biggy though.

All the best Spock

Is it possible to modify campaign files to workaround this until the next update?  First two missions have been fine without labels, but spotting other aircraft on a 4k screen is basically (sometimes literally) impossible, so am thinking I might need to drop resolution down to 1080p later in the campaign to improve visibility.

The labels are set at “dot neutral” as I feel this fits best with the difficulty level, but I was certain that enforcing your own setting in the options menu would override the mission ones. Seems this is not the case, so I will disable it for the next update.

Please remove enforced labels, just let us to decide what labels we have to use in singleplayer. Thanks.

I added them on assumption that if you choose "enforcing your options" in the menu it overrides this setting. I have it on my to-do list for the next update and will disable forced labels.

You can just open the mission file in winrar

DCS World\Mods\campaigns\FA-18C Raven One Dominant Fury\RODF M01.miz

And open a file called "mission"

At end of the file, you'll see text like

    ["forcedOptions"] =
    {
        ["labels"] = 4,
    }, -- end of ["forcedOptions"]
    ["start_time"] = 32400,
} -- end of mission

Just remove the ["labels"]=4 line, close the file. Winrar will ask if you need update the file, click  yes.

You have to do this for every missions though.

I´m refer to enforced label FORMAT, not the option itself. I want use my own personalized labels for VR.

Was also able to do this using 7zip by opening 7zip as administrator, browsing to a mission file in the campaign folder, and right clicking on the "mission" file and selecting "Edit".

If you remove it from forced_option, your own setting will take effect
