Ah so when a track is jamming it becomes an AOT (angle only track), and you are saying this AOT is only shown on the SA page not at the top of the radar page like youd expect?

A quick test/question, if the AOT appears and then you enter SIL, does the AOT remain or does it disappear?

If the radar has detected the JAM, and then select SIL, then the JAM will always be retained and the azimuth will be updated in real time

So I think this isn't a bug. The document describes boxing SIL will freeze the display (and box FRZ). Which makes me think the behaviour should be that an AOT displayed before SIL is selected will continue to be displayed and one that appears after SIL has been selected will not be displayed.

What is interesting and perhaps a bug is how you describe that the AOT on the attack radar format will continue to update its azimuth even after SIL has been boxed.

The OP is right, the radar, in A/A mode, should be able to process incoming signals passively in SIL. SIL does not inhibit processing, only transmission. A jamming signal is an incoming signal and thus should be able to be processed with the A/A radar in SIL.

AOTs should continue to be received and processed in SIL, as long as they still transmit a jamming signal.

Hi all, I have checked with the team

When in SIL mode the radar should simply not actively transmit; however, the radar should still be able to receive.
So, if a jammer is detected, it should still indicate the jammer azimuth on the radar display.
Further, data link would still be displayed on the radar when in SIL.
