[NO BUG] FUEL Indicator is still not showing currently loaded fuel quantity

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Gents,

Although, in latest patch a relevant option was added in Special Settings for F-1, unfortunately the current fuel quantity is still not showed correctly in cockpit. The same problem occurs even if set by the mission editor or after rearm - refuel.

I have tried to uncheck and recheck the relevant option in Special setting without any positive result.

Is there any solution I missing.

The last time I tested it, it worked quite well. But that was before the last patch a few days ago. If it is currently not working correctly, it's a "new" bug that came with the current patch

Testing in single player, the fuel quantity was working correctly.

Cold Start - ground power and battery ON, ground crew: rearm & refuel

Initial loadout: Full Internal and center line tank (1200 L) --> 5371 litre
• Full Internal --> 4248 litre
• 50% Internal --> 2131 litre
• Full Internal and 2x Wing tanks (1200 L) --> 6490 litre

Comment

Perhaps the mission you are testing in was created with ["F1AutoCounterSet"] = false

For info. this is the Mirage-F1 section from my mission's .miz "options" file

 ["Mirage-F1"] =
        {
            ["F1SimplifiedGearLever"] = true,
            ["F1NewABDetentPos"] = 85,
            ["F1SimplifiedFiringSafety"] = true,
            ["F1ModifiedABDetentPos"] = false,
            ["F1AutoCounterSet"] = true,
        }, -- end of ["Mirage-F1"]

Tested DCS Open Beta 2.7.17.39492

I checked the mission options and autocounter set was true .["F1AutoCounterSet"] = true. When I set the battery on the fuel is still 5370, although is 100% full. The real Mirage F-1 fuel (full internal) is 7250. It seems that Aerges modeled another version of Mirage F-1 🙂

The 7k is the figure you'll be getting in the mission-builder (which is in lbs). The F1 we have is gauged in liters, hence the 4k figure.

This is from the Aerges DCS Mirage F1 Manual

Quote

3.3 FUEL SYSTEM

The aircraft has a total of 9 internal fuel tanks (7 in the fuselage and 2 in the wings) plus a negative-g flight accumulator to allow for inverted flying and capability of carrying 3 external tanks. This allows it to carry a maximum of 4240 l (7650 l with the external tanks).

This diagram shows Aerges reasoning for their fuel capacities
