Hi JEFX, please try this version and report back how it works on your environment. I think the problem was solved.

RaMGen: Random Mission Generator v1.02b for LOFC

http://www.filefactory.com/file/afgdccg/n/RaMGen102b_zip

ATTENTION: This is a trial version. Please do not use this version unless you have problems on version 1.02. This version is not verified well yet.

As mentiond by ataribaby, the difference of the decimal separator between the countries was the problem. Most countries use 'period' as the decimal separator, but some countries use 'comma'. This caused the error when the program tried to read data from external files. I think 1.02b fixed this issue. If it works as planned, I will release it as 1.03.

Just tested this with my czech locale settings and it eats , as separator ok. Generated and flew 3 campaing missions ok. So for me that bug is fixed. Thanks

2DoctorK:

Can't properly launch the program.

OS: Vista Ultimate 64, .NET 3.5, russian regional settings. Both 1.02 and 1.02b give a .NET runtime error on start, then show nothing in loadout lists; the same error window appears after hiting "briefing" button. Plain 1.02 gives one more error (obviously, separator related one) before that. Text of the error attached.

Hope that'll help fix the problem.

And... What do you think about making online missions the same way?..

looks like it is unrelated to decimal separator. Looks like Skins dropdown list selected item gets out of bounds. I not experienced this but i not played with skins yet. Just leaved skins in default state. maybe vista UAC realated. That User control that prevent some rights and ordinary user should not harm his OS too much. Try disable it and test again.

I will give it a try just now.

GREAT!

no more problem.

Solved!

Fantastic.

I will start experimenting with it, but I feel that your fantastic program will make me come back to LOFC. I have left it aside recently and I kind of really want to come back to love it again...

thank you so much!

Hi, I think the problem is solved now. Please try this new version and report back how it works.

http://www.filefactory.com/file/af1d5b1/n/RaMGen102c_zip

The program was using nation's name to search available skins in meinit.xml, so it didn't work for Russian version. Now it uses nation's code instead.

Yes, the error appears no more. Good job and thanks for the program.

A pair of minor issues:

1.payload types/country names/etc. are in local language now, while the rest of the interface is in English. You may want to implement a custom interface language to fix it.

2.Debriefing doesn't fetch air (and possibly other types of) targets, though flight time is displayed correctly.

You can replace only "RaMGen.exe" to upgrade.

Version 1.03

- A decimal separator problem on certain Windows localizations solved.

- Russian version of Flaming Cliffs supported.

- "Name" button to switch weapon names between the original and the modified ones.

I can't seem to select a Pilot. The only avalible one in the drop down is Pilot1, I tried creating a Pilot1 in the game but it still doesnt save it to RaMGen after the mission, does it need to be installed in a specific directory? any help would be great, I love this dynamic campaign!

I get this error msg when i click save as quick mission

could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files\lock oc - flaming cliffs\lockon.bat\Missions\quick start\a-10a.mis'

this obviously isnt a valid file path because lockon.bat isnt a directory and cant have anything below it.

is this a known bug and is it this that is stopping my pilot from being saved?

thanks jib

What a great program!

I have an issue though. For some reason it does not reconise my log book.

I cannot select my pilot in anyway.

Any ideas?

Try first creating a pilot in a RaMGen and use it later on in LOFC.

How would i do this Vekkinho?

When i go to the pilot tab, the drop down menu just allows me to pick the default "Pilot 1"

Try this:

Close Ramgen. Start LOFC. Create new pilot. Close LOFC. Start Ramgen. Then it should show in the drop down. At least it did for me.

This is so great for me. Just what I was looking for. I have had LOFC for a few years but haven't played it much. I guess BS inspired me to get it out again. Now with a new a better computer I am enjoying it much more.

Had finished the A10 campaigns and was looking for some new missions.

This is just perfect for me. Thanks very much : )

Is there any way the missions results are automatically transfered to Ramgen cause i don`t really get it with the manual entering of data? If not can someone explain what exactly am i supposed to do after i complete a mission?

[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I usually quit LOFC after having flown the RamGen mission. If everything goes well the log book has the correct data and RamGen can debrief correctly.

Though there are a couple of problems. For example if I record tracks of the mission the log book seems to be broken. It shows the mission result, but the file name/mission name is not shown and thus RamGen doesn't export the data. It just doesn't recognize it. And if you forget to revive a pilot the log book wont record the progress either.

Posted

Ok. It continues to give me the: "No log data found. Please fill in the data." It can see when the pilot dies cause it offers to revive him but somehow it can`t find the missions results or it is me that am doing something wrong. In fact i don`t know what to fill in the mission result is sometimes 5-6 pages long, what part of this should i fill in? There must be a way to make it detect the results automatically :-(
