Crash since 2.8. log attached

Hi,

as other my DCS crash every time since 2.8 update. I try repair, remove dir, i don't have mod installed.

I suspected a crash come when there is not enought RAM. i'm have 32Go et when RAM use is around 25/32 the game crash (but not sure if it's really link). I can buy more RAM, but only if it's really the problem...

Hello. The crash is caused by Visualizer.dll, which is part of DCS.

Hi,

yes i use Quest2 64Go (but crash occured also without VR) with a cable usb3.1/usb C

Full setup : R9 3900X, 32Go DDR4 3600, RTX 2070OC 8Go (and 1To NVMe for ssd) - windows 10

@bal2o - try to run mission with nvidia in DEBUG mode. you have a OC card and there are times where even factory OC causes issues with DCS.

nop still crash. today it's just DCS turn off and back on desktop... i think i will remove all DCS directory and reinstall. hope it will help :s

I try many nvidia pilote (new 526, and both old 522 and 517), same => crash on server connection or when i slot. in both VR/non VR

I was having the C0000005 crashes every time I tried to overclock my GFX card. Have you tried undervolting your card?

I'm also getting a lot of crashes since 2.8. Basically I'm unable to fly any lenghty campaign missions now since the game crashes after 60 -90 minutes.

thanks, but no effect : edcore is not block and adding exception for AV changes nothing, still crash.

in many case, i don't have report, game just crash down and back to the desk.

Anyone as an idear ? just so frustrating ...

You have no pagefile at all and DCS does not like it:

I can't see your storage drives in your dxdiag log, but it seems like at least one of your drive -possibly the one holding your pagefile- is alsmot full. Please check.

OK, then my advice is to follow this guide to manually set your pagefile to 32 GB. In case you have more than one drive, ensure the pagefile is stored on your SSD, then use these values:

initial size: 32768
max size: 32768

oh yes, it's works ^^ thanks. i think it's not good for a ssd to have so many swap file, but new ram is coming. again, thanks for help.

My SSD is still alive, and it's been a few years now that I use it for my pagefile.

64 GB of RAM should allow you not to use that much pagefile (just leave Windows default setting as soon as you upgrade your RAM).
