Awards or way to thank the modders

I was just thinking how grateful I feel for some of the brilliant work that's completed by some of the modders here.  I have nothing like the skill or time to do what they do so I'm very thankful.

I don't want to single people out, but some of their mods, skins, documents and similar are a combination of brilliant and incredibly useful.

 

Struck me that maybe we should have something like the following:

•  An award from ED to their favourite modder.  Maybe something that personalises their posts, or even some reward "Miles"
• A way for players to pass over their unused "miles" to their favourite modders as a way to say thank you

I think that would be a wonderful way to recognise some of the people who do so much for the community! Great Idea

We are looking at ways to better support modders, but its for the future. 

Your ideas are interesting, I will certainly pass them on to the team, but can not promise anything.

Perhaps we (with the help of ED) could arrange some kind of annual "oscars" for modders.

A time span for nomination and then a vote for determining the winners. ED could help out with some sponsored prices - like a free module or something.

Maybe some categories, like

- single mission
- campaign
- skin
- vehicles
- terrain
- flyable aircraft

I would exclude commercial stuff like official campaigns (sorry @Reflected). Or they get an extra category without prizes.

Excellent ideas! Lot of work by modders here are really beautiful done and enhance DCS so much
