The above is an understatement of the century!  Eagle Dynamics: No, the F-15C cannot become a real boy or High Fidelity!!  Why?  Because father doesn't approve!!  It's not turtley enough for the turtle club. It's only one dimensional!  Wait...isn't the A-10 and AV-8 also one dimensional??  SILENCE!!!! 

 YES..IT IS ONLY ONE DIMENSIONAL!!!  IT'S ALSO THE GREATEST AND LONEST REIGNING AIR SUPERIORITY FIGHTER IN THE WORLD...EVER!  Arguably still is!  Hence the reason the USAF and the DOD has finally moved forward with the EX program.  Which should be the C+ or Super C and should remain a single seat air superiority/strike fighter. They turned a Corvette into a Souped-up Chevrolet Suburban. Putting another body and avionics in the original frame makes it heavier and reduces the potential and the overall performance of the original single seat airframe.  So, now they've retired the C and brought in an upgraded E.  Doesn't make sense??  Okay, let's retire the F-22(A) and replace it with the F-22(EX)!  Yeah, that makes sense, one super-duper engine for each ass in the cockpit. 

I repeat; IT'S ALSO THE GREATEST AND LONEST REIGNING AIR SUPERIORITY FIGHTER IN THE WORLD...EVER!  

Now, please tell me, how in the hell does this amazing ALPHA FIGHTER not rate becoming a FULL FIDELITY MODULE???  &*$#*@+

Okay, now I'm done and I can sleep tonight.  I apologize but this struck two nerves and YES...I know it belongs somewhere else.  It probably won't be here very long and more than likely I'll be summoned to the principal's office by morning.

I just got the F-15EX mod actually flying in DCS with the new Razbam model!  I think I'll probably just move to Version 1.7 with this change and a few other modifications.  Release soon if all goes well!

Most dcs boomers (those who spend the most ) only do a/g in pve so you got what they use ah64 and ground & pound f series

There's also the fact that the F-15A/C had as much or more air to ground capability as the Phantom built into the jet or the F-15E without CFTs has performance rivaling the EF-2000 but if the USAF never used it that way certain developers feel that video game players also shouldn't be able to use it that way. Thank God for modders

It would be nice to just see an improved F-15C even if it remains a low functional FC3 bird. A graphical facelift plus the ability to use the AIM-9X and JHMCS. Improved radar. Basically find a middle ground between FC3 and full-fidelity.

Concur 100% with @CarbonFox. There is an EX bug that doubles the pitch ladder in AG mode. I'd like to get rid of that as well. I know @Spino has a WIP cokpit model he's been working on that looks very promising. But, I assume that will takes tons of work and time to get it right. I'm anxiously waiting on version v1.7.

Have you all seen the clickable FC3 cockpit mod? - I have yet to try it.

It's a bit of a challenge in and of itself, since the F-15C model has no option for the nozzle petals (at least that I'm aware of).  Also I'm considering doing CFTs for it, but getting those shaped correctly will be quite a task.  The focus is mostly on the F-15EX right now, but I have not forgotten about the CX.  To simplify things, the CX probably won't have any air to ground capability.

I have added some of this stuff already via pylon addition, mostly the re-worked tail booms.  It's a work in progress, but I have added some of it.

Hey everyone, quick update here for you.  I was hoping to release Version 1.7 by the end of July, but obviously that didn't happen.  I have some issues with missiles exploding on launch cropping up, and I'd really like to have better textures for the EPAWSS model.  Unfortunately I'm not a very good texture artist, so if anyone is interested in helping with the textures, let me know.  I can release the mod with a minor texture fix within the next couple of days, or I can try to get better textures and fix the missile launch issues, but obviously that will take more time.  Let me know what you guys would like, release now or later.

No rush man. Things take time. A release now would be great, and updates after are always welcome to mop any existing issues up. But that is entirely up to you in the end. Looking forward to putting the EX back into the game

Finally we have liveries for the first two F-15EXs delivered to USAF!  I'm hoping to release V1.7 by the end of the month, so stay tuned for that!  Please note that due to the increased detail of the F-15E liveries, the file size of V1.7 will be substantially larger than any mod I have ever released before.  Your mileage may vary with some of the weapons, particularly AIM-120D and AIM-260, apparently DCS doesn't like super long range missiles sometimes.  AIM-260 carriage may be a bit limited for V1.7, I'll have to see what I can do about that.  But progress is being made!

Edit: The F-15EX has now been separated from the old VSN F-15E mod on which it was based.  This means that ingame it now shows up as F15EX instead of VSN_F15E_AA, and it no longer includes loadouts from the VSN F-15E that refused to go away before, even after I deleted them from the mod.  I'm not sure what was up with those AIM-7s and AIM-120Bs showing up still, but it's fixed now!  Maximum AIM-260 carriage is currently 8 missiles, due to issues with the double rail launchers that I haven't been able to solve yet.

AIM-260 JATMs!  Up to 8 can be carried currently, I'll try to add double rail launchers on the wings for them at a later date.

I could add JDAMs to it, but they would only be usable by AI.  Player aircraft would not be able to use them due to limitations with the F-15C avionics that I'm working with.
