Looks great!

The BS3 is listed at $89 on Steam. When and how will a discount kick in for us BS2 owners?

Buying standalone, once logged in it will show the discount. Which seems pretty generous! Not sure if buying through Steam.

I actually opened my eyes and just found the upgrade option for a very fair $12 on Steam.

Good deal!  :drinks_cheers:

Great newsletter. I immediately bought the upgrade to the fantastic BS3 and can't wait to fly it.

I'm happy that the work on FA-18c and SC continues, as well as on the new cooling system (even for Yak-52).

Great job in today's OB . THANKS.

Beautiful patch package and already bought BS3 update….Beautiful day!👍

Can‘t wait checking the AH64 improvements…..both pilot models, IAT, PERF page and FM improvements. SAS tone is now working properly?

Brilliant newsletter and changelog, really appreciate the new additions!

One thing I'd like to clarify however:

Quote

Also, for the first time in DCS, a physical model of the Inertial Navigation System (INS) has been implemented that includes alignment before the flight, drift error accumulation, and the ability to correct according to preset fixpoints. For more details, please read the Black Shark 3 White Paper.

Is this a first for DCS? The Viggen does drift error accumulation and correction (released 2017) and I thought the Tomcat and Mirage 2000 had physical models allowing for everything here.

Modules I own: F-14A/B, F-4E, Mi-24P, AJS 37, AV-8B N/A, F-5E-3, MiG-21bis, F-16CM, F/A-18C, Supercarrier, Mi-8MTV2, UH-1H, Mirage 2000C, FC3, MiG-15bis, Ka-50, A-10C (+ A-10C II), P-47D, P-51D, C-101, Yak-52, WWII Assets, CA, NS430, Hawk.

Terrains I own: South Atlantic, Syria, The Channel, SoH/PG, Marianas.

System:

GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX, AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Corsair Vengeance DDR5-5200 32 GB, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070S FE, Western Digital Black SN850X 1 TB (DCS dedicated) & 2 TB NVMe SSDs, Corsair RM850X 850 W, NZXT H7 Flow, MSI G274CV.

Peripherals: VKB Gunfighter Mk.II w. MCG Pro, MFG Crosswind V3 Graphite, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro.

Perhaps they were less elaborate than what was done here. I hope the other modules, including modern ED jets, can benefit from this. Either way, I'll be taking the new bird for a spin, and I'm looking forward to campaigns being ported, the Ka-50 has quite a few.

Great update... thanks!

Can someone explain this:

DCS MiG-21bis by Magnitude 3

  • Adjusted Cockpit 3D file and Livery folder names.
    • NOTE: Users with custom liveries will need to move them to the new location
    • …\Mods\aircraft\MiG-21bis\Liveries\Cockpit_MiG-21bis

My custom skins seem to work fine in the old location, C:\Users\Rick\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\MiG-21bis and this folder structure noted above, …\Mods\aircraft\MiG-21bis\Liveries\Cockpit_MiG-21bis doesn't exist in either Saved Games or the Main game folder.
