Walshtimothy
Hi all , dcs ww2 has never looked better ... but yet it feels a bit empty... can we expect more ww2 assets , vehicles , ships , aircraft etc to help populate the environment ? Also ship sinking effects need a lot of work. Cheers . 3 walshtimothyWW2 virtual flier - currently playing on 4ya ww2 - youtube channel here https://www.ww2adinfinitum.blog - https://projectoverlord.co.uk/
Pikey
I think this is a common thought shared by many. I don't think there's much comfort in this direction since the initial ww2 assets were funded by the failed 3rd party project many years back and there's another quote from Nick way back on the cost to create these assets being quite high. In this way i think DCS is a bit of a victim of it's own quality, i'd like a lot more AI planes and ships at the cost of some of that quality but it seems they want to model every nut and bolt these days. 1 ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *

Agreed, for AI only assets I wouldn't mind sacrificing a bit of quality on the altar of variety. Ground assets we have more than enough, but more variety in planes would be a huge boost to DCS WW2. 4 1 Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord

Nealius
+1, particularly more German ships and an option to replace the three pom-poms on the Uboats with a big-bore gun on the deck. As it is now a single Uboat or a single Schnellboot can destroy a 4-ship of Mosquitos.
WinterH
Some destroyers wouldn't be amiss, at the very least a Fletcher class, and maybe a Type 1936 of some description. A British DD would be welcome too as our WW2 maps are both around the channel so far. Capital ships would be very cool for ship nerds like me, but I can understand that they're quite an effort to do, and at least for the Channel gameplay, DDs are probably more relevant. I hope Magnitude 3 can eventually give us a Japanese destroyer too, to go along with their upcoming Corsair and eventual WW2 Marianas map. A Fletcher would go well with this setting too, of course. 2 Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V DCS-Dismounts Script

I think a little more effort in this area is required . as you said , normandy ao and the channel are same ao basically and the lack of ship assets without modding the sim is a major disappointment where shipping was such a key feature of these areas . fingers crossed . 1 walshtimothyWW2 virtual flier - currently playing on 4ya ww2 - youtube channel here https://www.ww2adinfinitum.blog - https://projectoverlord.co.uk/
