update the UH1 H or make a UH1H 2

i just like to see the GAU-21 M3M .50 cal and laser point like the gazelle minigun

the UH1Y would be nice.. but updated UH1H appreciated!

An overall refresh of the UH-1H would be nice. 

I'd like to see more options for weapons mounts than the Australian Bushranger mounts we currently have with the ability to select the mounts separately. Having other separate individual options in the ME for WSPS, armor, the sugar scoop and other antenna fits would be nice to have as well. A bigger selection of US Army skins from several units and a "US Army Standard" skin that is actually standard dark OD green with US Army titles on the tail boom and without unit badges painted on it would also be nice. A bigger wish would be to be able to select a change to UH-1V configuration with its different cabin area, rescue hoist, and additional avionics for the medevac mission.

I don’t think that ED is planning to make updates for 10+ years old birds soon. So, Can we make a fundraising for buying a new 3d model and cockpit textures for our uh1 and mi8? How much does it cost to bring these birds to ch-47 level?

Good news for the huey lovers: 

Official asset producer Massun92 has revealed that he is making an UH1 texture update.

if ED were to do a Uh1H update. it should follow KA50 v3 or A10C 2

 

current existing owners get a free 3d model exterior and interior cockpit upgrade. a paid upgrade DLC with discount for UH1H owners gets updated UH1H with AN/ASN175 GPS unit and AN/APR39 v1 radar warning receiver. May as well since the already existing huey has composite rotor blades. which is something that was not fitted until early 90s ( earliest revision  i found that had these references to composite rotorblades was in the 1992 revision of the 1988 manual) . IF anyones read the Uh1H/V manual published 1988 ( 1999 revisions) theyl see ASN 175 GPS operation described.

below is a cockpit of a Wisconsin national guard UH1V taken in 2008. Also note that the radar altimeter is place to the right of attitude indicator for both pilot and co pilot. looking at TM 11-1520-210-23   UH1 electronic maintenance manual  ( 1996 publication revised 1999) this is the configuration the radar altimeter equipped hueys should have, even if they weren't equipped with APR39.

really hope the huey gets a good rework that brings it up to the level of quality of the mi-24 and other recent helicopters soon, it becomes more needed every year that passes and the comparison to other helicopters in the game is starting to feel frustrating.
as for possible variants i'd love to see any of the early vietnam era hueys like the UH-1B to D or maybe an early naval UH-1N or AB-212/ASW, not very picky in that regard would honestly pay for anything that could be brought into the game to breathe new life into the huey.

I would gladly pay going price for an updated UH-1, no need for a discount. It is my go-to aircraft in DCS.

I would absolutely pay good money for a new refreshed UH-1 v 2.0. It's my most flown module by far, but it is getting a bit tired compared to the newer modules.

Oh, and can we have some working wipers, pretty please?!

I would already be happy if they made the real version of the Huey employed in the NAM and not this hybrid we have now. Also it would be nice to have the D version of the Huey in addition to starting a map of Vietnam !

I agree!!!!  Although I'm of the "we didn't need to be there" clan regarding the Vietnam war, I do wish they would make a map of it so I could fly there when I get everything sorted out as far as replacing my video card on my computer (as I've mentioned, that will have to wait until the first of the month, though).
