Question with the Grisha : Does the RBU-6000 work against submarine ? I'm not sure DCS allow submarine grenades. And what about torpedo ? What are the subsystems and fonctionnal weapons on the new Grisha's model ?

As mentioned in the newsletter, it will have the more traditional ship weaponry (gun, CIWS, SAM launcher, FCRs) available at release since DCS currently doesn't really support ASW. But I believe in solid maintaining and updating of assets, to benefit from added functionality in the core platform. So you never know what'll happen in the future.

Thanks, I have it documented and I'll take a look.

Hi CH, and thanks again for your truly excellent work! I looked for the two files to replace, but I couldn't find them... or rather, I didn't find them with the file names you attached to the post. Could you please indicate which files need to be deleted and replaced? Thanks again.

Both files are in the database\vehicles folder in the Russian asset pack folder structure. No need to rename anything, just overwrite them to replace.

As far as I understand the plan is to migrate all Military Assets to DCS core step by step. Will there be further update CH Military Asstes mods releases with reduced content as this will be  migrated to DCS? Will older CH Military Assets mod releases still be useable with newer DCS releases?

Please check the FAQ for more information about the DCS core CH Assets Pack:

Q2: Will all the assets from the Currenthill mod packs be added to DCS?
A2: No. The library of new core assets are based off of the inventory of the Currenthill mod packs, but each asset are carefully chosen to be added to DCS. Each new core asset are implemented mostly from scratch to uphold a specific consistent standard of things like mesh and textures quality, animations, FLIR textures, LODs, destroyed models etc.

Q6: Are the new core assets the same assets as in the Currenthill mod packs?
A6: No.

And with the Tiger UHT as example, there doesn't even need to be an original mod pack asset for it to be added as a DCS core asset. So there is a loose connection between the mod packs, nothing more. So the mod packs are definitely being updated. I try to maintain the assets in the mod packs so they keep working with new DCS updates. I also add new assets like the 15 new Cold War assets added to the Russian assets mod pack. With every update of the mod packs I remove any DCS core duplicate asset though. And all the assets in the mod packs and DCS core have unique names, so they won't conflict. Not even the if they are the same asset, which I haven't had the time to remove from a mod pack.

Neptune would be neat too. Considering we don't have many anti ship ground based systems. Along with the fact its not just an anti ship missile anymore.

@currenthill : I don't know if you planed to upgrade the Krivak II class (Rezky), but if you do, I have some questions :
Is it possible in DCS to modelise weapons like :

 Capture d'écran 2025-11-12 151240.png

Capture d'écran 2025-11-12 151442.png

And I suppose it required two different flight model for shooting ships (direct impact) or shooting submarine (torpedo parachuting) ?

- RBU-6000 (Against submarine) that can explode "under" sea level
Capture d'écran 2025-11-12 150920.png

I'm afraid the actual game do not support thoses types of Weapons ?

And other question ; Is the Grisha have subsystem (and what are thoses subsystem precisely ?)

I don't know if this was reported before but MTV truck is not working for FARP operations
When asking for rearming via radio menu there is no response on multiplayer.

Using M939 Heavy works.

Which truck are we walking about? The reason I ask is because sometimes my DCS core assets are reported in this thread, instead of the forum section dedicated for them. The easiest way to separate them is by looking at their name in game, if the name contains a CH prefix it's part of my mod packs and if the name contains a CH suffix it's part of the DCS core assets.

I guess you're asking about the DCS core assets (wrong forum section). We just announced the Grisha and Tiger UHT as core assets, no further announcements at this time. You'll have to pay attention to the Newsletter and Discord for more new stuff in the future! 😄

Before I do anything else, I need to rework the P-800 as well as other antiship missiles, since DCS core have changed and made them perform badly. But I would definitely be interested in a reworked Tu-22M3 for the mod packs.

Unfortunately DCS doesn't really have antisub warfare functionality at the moment, so there isn't really a need to implement these weapons. But I really look forward to and hope ED will implement such features, it would add another dimension to DCS. If such improvements are med in the DCS core, I would definitely add the weapon systems.

That's correct, there are a couple of reasons for this. The main reason is because China have released a lot of new weapon systems this year, and I have a lot of new models available that I want to implement as assets. So instead of rushing out a half-finished Chinese pack that I would have to update again, I choose to update and release the smaller mod packs as well as the Russian mod pack. I've also been busy making the DCS core assets, of course.

But I'm definitely going to release an updated China pack, with a lot of new cool assets. 👌🏻

looks like the only real supersonic anti-ship missile we have right now in DCS is the core game's Kh-31, but it only maintains supersonic speed in the cruise phase; in the terminal phase, it drops back to subsonic. Hope you can find a way to fix it

yes, the problem is with MTV [CH] asset that it's inside DCS
