Well, my Swedish Patriot system (called LvS 103) have both mobile and stationary units, so it wouldn't be too much work to implement mobile versions in the Patriot asset pack. But I didn't figure there were much demand for it?

And as a sidenote, don't fire more than 1 missile (round) per fire mission. It's some sort of DCS bug that may cause the missiles to go haywire. Clone/add one fire mission per missile. 

By the way, the HIMARS will soon receive an upgrade.

Hi CH,

Loving the mods, especially the Iskander. However, the cruise missiles are crashing to the floor on the Nevada map. They launch perfectly then several seconds into their flight they head for the floor as they do on the Caucasus map, but crash into the ground. I made a track file. 

Just letting you know - Thanks for your hard work.

  • Added PrSM SRBM (short range ballistic missile)
  • Added prefix to asset name
  • Added visual cue for allowed firing sector in ME and F10 map 
  • Changed display name
  • Fixed MG turret connector error
  • Fixed dust and dirt effect position when moving

The PrSM come in two versions, one for ground targets and one for moving sea targets. The AShM version needs AWACS coverage to detect and engage targets.

Hey currenthill,

 

Did some tests.  Not sure if I'm messing up or there's a bug.  

1.  PrSM version (not antiship) works as intended.  

2.  Having trouble getting PrSM to fire.  I have included AWACS coverage.  When using Combined Arms, I notice it still acts like a traditional arty piece in how you can target a target.  This is different than your Swedish antiship launcher I think.  Don't know if that has something to do with it, or if it's just operator error.

Does the PrSM launch for you towards the ship?  I wasn’t able to get it to fire. If so, it’s operator error in my part.

Yep, it fires two PrSM against the ship. Did you wait long enough? It takes almost a minute for it to launch.

I time compressed to 20X and waited a while.  Did several tests.  Ship moving, ship not moving, different AWACs, etc.  I used Combined Arms to select the target and hit "fire", and I also just left it alone to see if it'd fire on it's own.  (not sure if the selecting a target might mess things up).  But if it's firing for you, then it must be something on my end.

I'm finally done with the update of all current 24 assets (excluding the Swedish Military Asset pack which I will update separately). I did a final log check and discovered a small configuration error in the Karakurt Corvette configuration, hence the 1.4.1 update above. 👍🏻

Hi CH!! Congrats on your mods!! I have devised a simple mission to test the Iskander which I am attaching to this post. I think I'm doing something wrong because although I have assigned the targets and they are within the range of the missile, the systems do not launch the missile and nothing happens even when speeding up time. How can it be done? Thank you.

You're trying to fire within the minimum range for the Iskander-M. Check for the green circle. Here's an example from earlier today (with HIMARS, but the principle is the same).

Thanks for this great mod but I also can't get the Iskander-M to work. I made sure that it is well within minimum and maximum range or maybe I'm just impatient enough.

Edit: I can fire them without any problems as a Game Master but not set up in the mission editor.

Currenthill if you set a route in the editor, they go. In the mission, if they haven't fired yet and they are given a route, they are going. If you give them a goal, they shoot back-they don't go anymore.
