@currenthill, our squadron is having issues seeing anything pop up on the HAD/HTS/WPN page in the F16 for your PLA Chinese SAM units. So far all we have done is install your radar mods, and the asset pack. The units do show on RWR but typically dont emit any tones.

Are we missing something here?

did you download the RWR/HARM ID mod, and install it in the CORE game folder? (not in the save game folder)

Hello, good afternoon!

I’m new to DCS, and first, I’d like to thank you for the mods. I also wanted to ask if there is any possibility or an existing patch that allows full operation of all subsystems of the Pantsir S-1, including the search radar, target designation radar, and missile launch system.

"I provide several mirror download links to cope with traffic limits. If a link doesn't work - just try the next one."

 

did you try the mirrors? sometimes the download amounts exceed the daily limits of the storage servers.

I can confirm that even with the RWR/HARM ID mod installed in CORE... that the Chinese SAMs do not pop up on the HAD/HTS and do not give any tones on RWR.

This has been answered previously. CH said, "I have yet to find a way to add custom assets to the HTS table. But you can do it manually in flight. Just press LIST, 0, E and enter the HARM ID from the table at my site (for example 528 for the LTAMDS radar). Then go into HTS and choose Threat and select MAN for manually. The HTS will then find your custom ID and you can select the target. Since I'm going by memory, forgive me if I got a button name wrong."

The RWR file on his site is just that, for the RWR. The HTS is a different set of files and no one is sure how to edit that without doing it manually in the jet.

Appreciate the response, we will see if the DTC-mod can be edited to upload custom IDs during our preflights. With that said, the RWR tones are also broken for these PLA SAM assets. No missile tones, no search tones, no track tones, ect.

I have various CH MOD installs, Sweden, UK, Germany, all have been working, but I have just found that for China/USA, I cannot get any CH object to show up in ME

I have:

CHINA 1.1.0

USA 1.1.5 THE 10.38gb Version

USA 1.1.X-1.1.6 the 2.86 gb version.   I take it I need both as I think the smaller update just makes changes to the larger library?

I have turned on/off the history/watch icon, I get a couple of different objects show up, but nothing CH displays when I scroll down

ALL CH mods are the usual place and only these 2 Countries have stopped working.

I have installed the latest update to DCS World 2.9.14. 8222 mt

I have re-downloaded the USA one about 20 mins ago, what am I doing wrong. 

Any assistance appreciated.

I dont have the USA one, but the China Mod works fine on my latest DCS version. I can see the Mod enabled on the Module Manager:

Attach your dcs.log file to gather more clues as to what may be happening.

Starting to see a lot of threads popping up after this past update where mods are having issues.  Could be because of the latest patch

It is, and it's mods other than CH's mods causing the issues.

True, but the A-4 mod is a huge one that has been around for ages, same with VSN's stuff.  They all worked together just fine prior to this update.  Now its a crap shoot finding out what mod is breaking.

Not really. Simply remove mods and add them back using a binary search method to winnow down the list of mods which are causing issues. It's not hard -- it just takes time. Took me about an hour this morning to nail down which mods were causing the issues.

Did you overwrite the files of USA 1.1.5 with the files of USA 1.1.X-1.1.6? If you have both folders present, that's wrong.

Thats what I wondered as well. Thanks I will overwrite and try again. 

Regarding the MODS, as it was I was  having a MODS issue prior to the update coming, So 90% of my MODS are off and I'm working them back in. So will start again, after I merge the CH MODS

Thank you to ALL of you who have chipped in, It all helps......so MOD ON, TEST WITH DCS, MORE MODS ON..TEST....Have some beer....I have so many MODS I'll be well oiled this evening.

So are these mods no longer supported? Seems like ever since seeing currenthills name in the changelog its been radio silence. While I am happy he is getting the credit he deserves. I have a bad feeling this will slow asset creation immensely. But maybe this will be the start of Ed focusing on adding assets as it is one of the most overlooked parts of this game.

Out of curiosity, what mod/s did you locate to be the issue?  I have seen 2 mentioned in other posts, VSN F-4B/C and the A-4C.  I took the A-4 up this morning from a cold start and launched off the carrier with no issues.  Our server runs the Bronc, Hercules, Cayuse, and A-4C, along with the Vietnam Asset Pack and some ships by Eightball.  No issues flying any of them and no conflicts with AI mods in game.

Hi Devil! Ask your members what mods they have in Saved Games you do not. I've seen the Su-33 something mod mentioned. I guess what's on the server is irrelevant.

Hi Nic_17 and all who responded, ARROW3, is the only MOD I've lost, so far, long way to go. FYI, I had missed a couple of updates, for China & Russia. so set up an A10 on the ground in Nevada, with Chinese, Russian and USA assests in front of it, so far the Russian Guy has hit the Chinese guy every time, while the Abrams....seems to smell of coffee? lol

Obviously if you see the assets on the MAP in the mission, you can crack on. Cheers....& yes I'm enjoying the beer

The VSN_F4 is the one that was hosing up spawning ground units and ships. Removed that, and magically everything worked again.

To get head of any other problems with future patches, I also started just axing a lot of modern platforms (e.g., Su-30 mod) as DCS Academy is shifting wholesale to Cold War. I heard other folks were having issues with the Su-30 mod and they removed that to fix their issues with this patch. I had already removed it as part of my "remove modern aircraft mods" doctrine to ease my pain with this patch and future mod maintenance as DCS Academy won't be using those mods for quite a while.
