These big things are the pinnacles of the then high-tech, which gave a powerful impetus to all radio electronics.

Looks nice! Thanks for the update. The new Normandy map is great in many ways- and the update is VERY much appraciated.

The radar sites, cliffs and dockyards look wonderful. Thank you.

Hope the lighting of trees when looking into the sun is fixed (hard to tell in the video).

Also hoping that you will remove the historically inaccurate forest along the ridge of the Cliffs of Dover.

Why you keep sticking trees (forest almost) INSIDE airbases when the community tells you time and time again it is inaccurate is just beyond me. Trees in airfields are:

1. Historically inaccurate

2. Dangerous to aircraft

3. Make logistics and communications for the ground difficult.

4. In ww2, the runways were often not used- the entire field was used instead to allow for simultaneous squadron take offs-

Airbases are sometimes MASKED as countryside for camouflage.

A quick example: Here is a pic of St.Andre in 1944. The dots are not trees- they are crater damage from bombing.

Looking forward to it. Sounds like some feedback’s being worked on, always good sense.

Will be interesting to see what’s made of an historical Woolston. There were some art-deco buildings along the front there, sadly long gone. I think you’ve built the Itchen bridge on the current map? Almost above the site of Vickers Armstrong and the Supermarine workshops. I rode across it on my push bike when they opened it in ‘77, before that, the Northam bridge would have been the lowest down the river I think? Maybe blow the bridge? No biggie, just itches my niggley mind. There used to be an old chain ferry crossing there before but no bridge. More fun too.

Chuffed to see the Chain home stations get a bit of love. Probably one of our most important weapons.

There’s no end of people willing to bombard you with research pics or data. Good luck filtering through it all but please make as much use of it as possible, it can only make it better. A nightmare to please everybody.

Well done on what we have so far, nice to see updates inbound, keep on keeping on.

I know I'm boring, but on German airfields in France the runways, taxiways and aircraft parking lots were made of cement pavers and not asphalt or dirt like Saint-André, Dreux, Evreux, Conches, Creil,  Beaumont-le-Roger, Triqueville, Poix, Bernay-Saint-Martin, Caen-Carpiquet, Corneilles-en-Vexin, Beauvais-Tillé, Amiens-Glisy, Dieppe-Saint-Aubin, Villacoublay...

The last vestiges of these constructions are still visible today.

Love this map thank you.

I am building a simple airfield to practice off of in VR at FORD Airfield. With everything I have on the map I get 70 to 50 FPS I can taxi to all the areas on the field with the same FPS until I pull out onto a Runway then the FPS rate TANKS to 23 FPS. If I roll to the far end of the runway I hit 30 to 23 FPS the second I pull into the grass off the field 20 feet I jump back up to 70 FPS. Has anyone seen this happen on FORD or other Airfields you have put static objects on? I can Taxi on the ground with all this stuff and get 50 to 70 FPS all over the map but the Runway is the FPS killer.
