JG11Preusse Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Hi All, which Version is this MIG 29 or is the "G" Version of the Luftwaffe also availible ? Saw some YT Videos of the German DCS Version and was wondering, why all Labels inside the Cockpit are in russian language. I know that they changed them to NATO standart (english) when they went over to the German Luftwaffe. Hals und Beinbruch Andi
draconus Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) MiG-29 module is identical to the one included in FC3 pack, and both gives you access to 3 versions: MiG-29A, MiG-29G and MiG-29S (sometimes reffered to as C in the game). Afaik all of the versions share the same cockpit graphics but the G has different HUD (english with imperial units) and warning sounds (german Betty). JG11Preusse Posted June 9, 2023 Author Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) for everyone who is wondering, that the english Cockpit dont works, i found this and after doing that it works: "I caved and followed the advice from above for the stable-branch in the open-beta branch. By saving the folders in the location from the original readme, renaming all 3 folders to <default> and replacing the <English> in the luas for the A & G and in their folders, then selecting the <default> entry in DCS I made the cockpits work in the open-beta branch. For now it passed integrity check for multiplayer aso." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Just tried a bit, was setting up controls at my warthog hotas and was not able to engage the autopilot, i assigned it to the Autopilot engage/disengage button at the warthog throttle, works for all other models i own. Does the MIG 29 only have a wheelbrake button for both wheels ? Axis command dont shows up left and right wheel brake for my pedals Also didnt found out many other things, but was only testing for a short while. Edited June 9, 2023 by JG11Preusse

On?Off is simply turning the damper system on/off. Once engaged, you need to select the AP mode you want. Damper comes on automatically with air starts and after a certain wait time, with cold starts. Wheel brake is for both. No independent braking. I thought .... Enabble AP (AP Button at TM Warthog AP Button) and selecting Path or ALT switch will turn the AP to path or altidude f.e.

The MiG-29’s AP is unfinished and will probably remain so until the end of time. There is no route following or landing mode. The only modes available are damper, attitude hold, barometric altitude hold, ground collision avoidance, and level up to horizon (panic mode). Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with the TM Warthog and how to set it up for the MiG-29 variants. I’m assuming you have to assign things via the controls menu but I could very well be wrong. I’m more familiar with simpler equipment. It remains unfinished, like I said. Or, perhaps, I should have used the word “incomplete”. Either way, it doesn’t have the route following and landing modes that are included in the Flanker (FC3) even if the Flanker’s landing mode stopped working correctly years ago and has never been fixed. 3 YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU1...CR6IZ7crfdZxDg _____ Win 11 Pro x64, Asrock Z790 Steel Legend MoBo, Intel i7-13700K, MSI RKT 4070 Super 12GB, Corsair Dominator DDR5 RAM 32GB.

Right beside i habe a 3 way switch : upper position = path, middle position = ALT/HDGF, lower position =ALT What i did in the DCS settings is assigning the key for AP to button and "hold heading" to the upper switch position and hold ALT to the lower position. But it dont worked ...... no problem, was only a short try and first have to look at the manual, look some videos and then setup thge rest controls i need to my HOTAS p,s, just saw that Grim Reaper has an excellent Tutorial at YT especially for the AP Edited June 10, 2023 by JG11Preusse

There is no "heading hold". There is "path hold" (route following) which is not implemented. For "hold ALT" I assume you mean "barometric altitude hold" which is implemented. When you select that, the corresponding button on the AP panel doesn't light up? You might also find this on the MiG-29 AP useful: Edited June 11, 2023 by Ironhand YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU1...CR6IZ7crfdZxDg _____ Win 11 Pro x64, Asrock Z790 Steel Legend MoBo, Intel i7-13700K, MSI RKT 4070 Super 12GB, Corsair Dominator DDR5 RAM 32GB.
