Just got this awesome plane ... but really hope someone could point the way to fixing this.

Those lamp labels (eg Cautions Lights Labels, Wheel Down lights, etc.) are always looking blurry even though I have almost all settings maxed out (see attached cockpit and settings screens). And this problem is not only present in the F15E, but in ALL other modules, where light-up labels are concerned (eg. Nosewheel Steering light, etc.). Even other labelling / markings in cockpits also look a little blurry, though not as bad. Only when zoomed in real close does the blurriness disappear.

I have followed numerous suggestions in trying out all sorts of Nvidia settings, but nothing seems to help.

I run a rather high end PC and can get good fps most time. LG 32" Gsync monitor.

Any help very much appreciated. See attached screenshots. Thank you.

Im not sure what I see but…. Its looks ok for me. Remeber that it is not digital screen but mostly painted button with light inside. It doesnt be sharp like digital screen. If you need more sharpness picture you can use Reshade for example. Btw. High MSAA can add some blurry efffect on edges, try 2x.

Thanks YoYo, but I've seen many Youtube videos and they are all sharp and crisp even when zoomed out a distance. Tried 2x MSAA and still the same.

(You have to look at those Caution Lights on the caution panel. They are almost illegible, unless zoomed much closer.

Open post observation is equally something I have noticed especially in the new open beta. The cockpit labeling are blurry and pixalated except I zoom in close at those panel and mfds.

I use cockpit mod to provide some contrast.

the worst offender is the standby compass, which is super blurry unless you really zoom into it.

i think its a texture LOD issue.

In fairness, lighted lamps should be terribly sharp IRL since they are stencils on glass or clear plastic.  As opposed to the CRT's (I think) we have in the MPD's and HUD, anyone old enough to remember CRT's will remember how blurry they compared to LED/LCD screens.

Of course, in DCS, it's just a texture limitation

Yes and no. The wall of the plastic has a certain thickness, so at certain angles it may also seem slightly blurred in real life. In addition, the lighting probably causes the "glow" effect, and in addition, dirt often accumulates in these places. Personally, I don't complain, but I'm in VR, so, for example, the inscription Caution is about 2 cm for me its ok :).

What is most puzzling for me is seeing how so many Youtube clips showing labelling lamps AND MFD / HUD that are super crisp and sharp, that I wonder what they did to their systems, that I am not able to, even though I run a decent high-end system. Anyone knows how they did it?

But I remember seeing some posts using only 2K monitors. Just haven't figure out what's the secret sauce, for a long while now.

Someone can always use 4K to 2K compression and post a video like that, second Reshade can halp to have better sharpness or video filter.

Btw. for example for Harrier is a mod for sharpness of warning symbols, so maybe someone will do it for F-15E as well in the future.

Might be an issue with the light brightness. The warning lamps are completely illegible due to light bloom on my screen, and the brightness knob for them on the right panel doesn't apear to function.

You could try setting your FOV to around 90, that'll bring you closer in, as too me, your view is too far back.
