We'll they've been at it for over a year and say the map is about 40% finished. Now they might have done the more time consuming 40% and the remaining 60% will go faster. Or it can be the other way.

In MSFS they make scenery addons to be implemented onto already existing terrain as a base. For DCS they have to build the terrain itself from scratch, 3D mesh included, using a new SDK for them to learn, for a totally different software platform.

These two cases are not even comparable and their develoment pace for MSFS is irrelevant here. It's going to take longer to build product for DCS.

Because they are used to it? I bet that when they make their 10th DCS map - if it ever comes to that - they will be able to complete it much faster as well...

I would still love to see ORBX DLC airfields.

 

Hell, make me a high-def NTTR map with super-duper airfields. I'll pay good money for that. The FPS might suck for combat, but what a great testing range it would be just for the fun of flying and trying things out.

Oh no way! I dont prefer to see MSFS/FSX/P3D way in DCS. Better to have the whole World (like it was promised), however I'm afraid I may not live long enough to see it for myself, or I'll be so old that I won't be able to sit in a chair anymore .
