Why is it still select-able then (latest beta game version DCS 2.8.8.43704 Open Beta) ?

Are you sure that game flight mode and game avionics mode are the same?

Game avionics was removed,

game flight is low priority at the moment, there is a possibility it will be discontinued.

I was indeed not aware that they're different things (I've never used either of them), so thank you for pointing this out!

Yes, please kill it with fire.

It causes so many problems for new players. It doesn't make the game easier, which some think it does, so they turn it on when they are noobs and the game becomes more frustrating for new players then it needs to be.

I agree, game flight mode creates more problems for users.
