Kuky Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 errrr.... ninjas :D This is so stupid for me... walking on the walls sideways, jumping from bulding to bilding like there's no tomorrow :D... yeah it's a "cool" game alright ;) For me, I don't know how people can play this non gravity title :D 1 No longer active in DCS...
Grimes Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 I can't disagree with you more Kuky. This game is a beautiful example of excellent video game art direction and is a masterpiece of interaction with the environment. I personally put it in the same league as Portal in terms of revolutionizing the technology. The DICE EA made the game, they are also the makers of the Battlefield series. The potential exists for them to incorperate much of this tech into an upcoming title. Besides, its based off of the real world sport of "parkour" Its just a bit stylized and exaggerated. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. It also might be a bit of the challenge to move 200 pounds around... :pilotfly: Edited March 9, 2009 by Peyoteros "Eagle Dynamics" - simulating human madness since 1991 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ۞ ۞

Acedy Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 I wanted to buy this game for my sister as a birthday present because she likes Parkour and the game looks "hip", but I wasn't sure if it would run well on her PC, so she got something else in the end. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] *** SERVMAN SERVER MANAGEMENT MOD V2 FOR DCS:BS V1.0.1 *** *** VERSION FOR FC2 ***

Peyoteros Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 I think it's relaxing... For people who does not know the story behind the game: In a city where information is heavily monitored, agile couriers called Runners transport sensitive data away from prying eyes. In this seemingly utopian paradise, a crime has been committed, your sister has been framed and now you are being hunted. You are a Runner called Faith - and this innovative first-person action- adventure is your story. Mirror's Edge delivers you straight into the shoes of this unique heroine as she traverses the vertigo-inducing cityscape, engaging in intense combat and fast paced chases. With a never before seen sense of movement and perspective, you will be drawn into Faith’s world. A world that is visceral, immediate, and very dangerous. Live or die? Soar or plummet? One thing is certain, in this city you will learn how to run. "Eagle Dynamics" - simulating human madness since 1991 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ۞ ۞

Namenlos Ein Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Unfortunately, no helicopters to control. Mirror's Edge 2D: Free Online Game.
joey45 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Would of been simple FM anyway... The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Namenlos Ein Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Why do you use cheat codes in the Mirror's Edge?
Peyoteros Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 (edited) I don't. Graphics awesome! Edited September 27, 2009 by Peyoteros "Eagle Dynamics" - simulating human madness since 1991 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ۞ ۞
significant Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I hate parkour but this game is absolutely amazing! I haven't seen such stylish graphics since uh... maybe HL2... Idea of using global illumination technique with only few flat colour surfaces is so simple and so cool. Sound is great too. Ambient noises and techno music for action. And breathing sound. Everything fits game atmosphere. And it's loading faster and running smoother than DCS:) I'm an old grumbler but i have to say this game is perfect!
Kuky Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Anyone ever dies in that game from like a bad fall? :D No longer active in DCS...
sobek Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Anyone ever dies in that game from like a bad fall? :D Like...ever? :megalol: If you didn't, you did something wrong. :D 1 Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Namenlos Ein Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 (edited) Yes the game looks fine, except two black stripes on top and bottom of screen for 5:4 or 4:3 aspect ratio monitors. And I find Mirror's Edge sometimes strongly resembles Portal due to abstract level design. Edited September 29, 2009 by Namenlos Ein
