Glad to hear it's sorted. I spent hours stubbornly trying to control it. The following day when I checked the bindings instead of just trying to 'use the force' I had half a chance.

Oh I know it works, I've seen it in action, just not on my screen. I don't mess with much coding or luas or whatever so just copied it into the scripts folder. Now I can control the heli a bit I don't use the indicator anyhow but wonder what I shoulda done? - I have a weird setup so it's something my end no doubt, no worries and cheers for adding it 🙂.

Hmm, so here's another question: There's no rearming/refueling binding for the mod, so I can't do that... 😃

Oooh, any hints as to what's coming?

Also might as well ask, I've seen some people having success with the door gunner, and others not (including myself). Is it something simple like "doesn't work in MP" or whatever?

Are you on the discord? For not working doorgunners are 2 reason known. 1. Dcs was running during installation. 2. Multiplayer and server does not allow object export.

Aaah, that's probably it! Just checked and for some reason object and sensor exports weren't enabled, thanks!

And I'm trying to cut down on my Discord servers, nothing against you. 😃

Just remember, Battery can be turned on, but if Helo is running, the ground crew will not rearm/refuel.  You will need to shut her down completely minus leaving the battery on to talk with fellow pilots if in MP.

Yeah I found that out the hard way. My common troubleshooting for not being able to rearm (assuming the UI works) goes like this:

Am I parked in the correct spot? -> Do I need to be on intercom? -> Do I need to have doors open? -> Do I need to be shutdown?

Usually one of those sorts it out on any given aircraft. 😃

One of the reasons for writing that down in the readme was that you don't have to find that out the hard way 😛

HI loving this mod i really feel like I've mastered something great when successfully flying this and putting it where i want it...  dumb question will this be available in MP servers I'm not seeing it in any ... 4ya pre-contact etc .....thanks again for re kindling my love of helicopters

Latest I have

Pedals  0 - 100 - 100 -Curve 5     Slider and invert checked   (MFG pedals)

Pitch  0  -50-  50- 0

Roll same 0 - 50 - 50 - 0

Collective  5 - 100 - 100 Curve 30 . Collective comes in at 40%

Virpil collective, Warthog with 200mm extension.......finger tip moves.

Possible starting point for you

I mean... It should be? The SA342 has lots of autopilot/stability augmentation going on with it, while the Loach has none. The SA342 after the flight model update is IMO the _best_ hover and near hover helicopter in the game (ignoring Ka-50 hover hold).

With the Loach I'm getting what I'm kinda expecting: A superduper light Huey that never properly settles and kinda wants to overreact to everything. 😃

Well, I try to hover the Gaz (minigun) without any automation/assist, silly me…try Apache just then, easier than Huey, just “let go (turn off IHASS) and use the Force”. 🙂

BTW, Low Level Heaven gives some demo on how to fly the thingy in the latest vid, may be it gets better if I load it up. Gotta have some more practices before the Pham shows up…

I just tried these (after taking careful note of what I had already 😁).

I had my pedals about the same but noticed you'd checked the slider and inverted them. I don't know if that's an oversight or if you fly very differently than I do but I left my pedals as they were (MFGs too 🙂).

Pitch, Roll and Collective I tried your settings. I use a Warthog TAS and had it set up for the loach the same as I have in the Huey. Taking off was always bit of a leap and run and I wouldn't have got an instructor to go near the airfield, let alone sign me off in one the way I was 'taking off'.

The minute I started to hover after trying your curves I was sold. They're staying exactly where they are. I took off more or less properly and have much better control of it than I've had yet. Yeah, it's still a twitchy little thing and yeah, I may have just banged it into a tree doing slaloms but it's a hell of a lot better.

Cheers for the combination 🙂, I still have to wonder about your pedals though 😄.
