Every time I land my gear ends up in the ground. It's not a popped tire cause it's all 3 on the wheels. If I start rolling, it shoots sparks as you can see bellow. Any idea on how to fix that?

That means you did blow your tires. How fast were you with all 3 tyres on the floor? Or how high was your weight and descent rate?

Weight was low. F-14B with about 2200lbs of fuel left. No tanks on it and no missiles or bombs. Maybe a few hundred rounds of ammo. It was a very shallow landing at low speed. Definitely not a situation to blow the tires.

Do you have a track file?

DO it or Don't, but don't cry about it. Real men don't cry!

Try this. Never done a track before. It's going to be towards the end obviously.

Is there a way to fast forward a track file? Now I'm curious and watching it...

Here a few points:

How fast were you when you rotated? Overspeeding on the takeoff run can also blow a tire, not just a landing.

You can fast forward with LCtrl+Z/Y depending on your keyboard layout.

Please supply a short track. Watching you starting up the aircraft and taxi for 20 minutes just for the track to desync is not really usefull. So please keep it as short as possible.

When I watched your track, I saw you at +200 knots on the ground with no stick input on the takeoff run (before you crashed because the track desynced). Are you sure you didn't overspeed the tires on takeoff?

That was the first track I ever did. Never done one before so I don't know how to shorten it or anything. Not positive on airspeed at takeoff. The lack of a full HUD like I'm used to isn't helpful. I'm kind of just going till it looks fast Lol I keep having to move the camera to see the IAS gauge.

You can make shorter tracks by only doing what you want to show. For example if you want to show a landing like in this case, place the aircraft on final approach to an airfield and fly that bit. Thats how you make short tracks. Only fly the bit that is important.

The default position should be placed good enough that you don't need to move your camera. Just make sure you are not zoomed in too much, and you should see it without any issue.

But by the sounds of it, there is a very high chance you burst your tires on takeoff.

Zoom out for taxi and takeoff. You should see all the way down to the Engine instruments field of view wise in that phase of flight. Gives you better overall sighting of the surroundings. Zoomed into the hud is for Fighting and maybe landing if you’re stuck without head tracking.

Do you use head tracking (TrackIR, for example)? If not, I would highly recommend you do. Makes your virtual pilot life a lot easier as it allows you to easily pan around the cockpit.

If you overspeed the tires they can blow, probably what happened here.

Just started a few days ago with the F-14 module; this was happening to me as well on landing, never considered that i was wrecking the tires on take off but that was what was happening. I added manuever flaps, lower throttle, and more aggressive rotation and during take-off and no more flat tires! Thank you all that contributed to this thread, much appreciated!
