CF104 Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Hi All, Excuse my ignorance as I’m relatively new to DCS and the way it handles hotfixes. How does one apply the hotfix to the Phantom? Thanks in advance. Cheers, John

danimal Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 (edited) Performance seems worse for me. Relatively high end system with 4090 and 12900kf. CPU limited i guess but i'm getting 50fps in situations where i was previously getting 72. No changes to settings from before patch Edited June 6, 2024 by danimal
MAXsenna Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Thanks for the quick reply. I was wondering if that was the process but wasn’t 100% sure. Cheers, John I assume you use Standalone and not Stream by your answer. I can highly recommend Skatezilla's excellent GUI Updater/Launcher Utility. It makes everything easier. Cheers! Somu Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 (edited) Hı first of all i love F4 module at all you have done fantastic job thank you.But i have a problem with F4 ai wingman and other f4 ai flights. They dont fire guided weapons except agm 12 before patch. While designing the mission in the mission editor after the patch, if I specify the navigation target point, my wingman attacks the target with my command to attack the main target and joins again, but only with unguided bombs. After the patch, just like before, it does not attack with any laser guided bomb, Maverick or TV guided bomb or shrike. When you give the order, it says ok, but immediately after that it says rejoin. This is also valid for normal AI F4s that are not wingman. After the patch, if I do not select and save the Navigation target point, my wingman does not attack the targets at all unlike before patch. Before patch AI wingman engages target wih dump bombs without specify nav target point but after it requires to specify at least my wingman Edited June 6, 2024 by Somu
hermes7226 Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 After the patch, the Jester circle stopped activating. Functionality is restored only when the module is rebooted. Before the patch, there were no problems.

skywalker22 Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 (edited) I have a question about Kneeboard, I put them into "...Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Kneeboard\F-4E" folder (which I created manually), but I'm unable to see them. Is there any other folder intended for kneeboards? Edited June 7, 2024 by skywalker22

I think you need to call the aircraft's kneeboard folder whatever the debrief lists the aircraft as after a mission.Cheers!Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk W10 Home 64Bit, Intel Skylake I5 6600K 3.50GHz, ASUS ROG Stryx Z270F MoBo, 32GB G.Skill RipJaws V DDR4 3200 RAM, Samsung 960 Pro 512GB M.2 SSD (OS), Samsung 850 Pro 512GB SSD, 2TB Seagate SDHD, 2TB WD Green HDD, GALAX GTX GeForce 1070 EXOC Sniper White 8GB VRAM

aaronwhite Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 Having finally figured out some magic combination of things to get DCS to not crash on me, I've been able to actually get into some flights with the F-4, and it's been a blast! Looking forward to actually learning the thing. I've tried a few "who needs to learn?" landings, and they have gone about as expected...thankfully, I'm not on the financial hook for all of the bent landing gear that the F/A-18 conditioned me to not worry about.

I have been using the Instant "Takeoff" mission on Caucusas. I am OpenXR, MT and the Crystal in 72Hz mode. I can get it to 72fps at high altitude. However fps is all over the place on or close to the ground in this mission and the training missions I have tried so far, and only in the Phantom. Super-B Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 First off, thank you for producing a Phantastic module. I have a request for a Jester fix. My father, a retired F-4 WSO asked me if Jester gives callouts during landing, and I said he gives altitude calls. He said the WSO would give Alt AND Airspeed callouts during the landing phase. Is this something that could be incorporated? 3 Ryzen 7 5800X / EVGA RTX 3080 / 64gb DDR4 RAM / 750W PS / VPC WarBRD / VKB STECS Max
