@silverdevil I tried your suggestion about plugging the mouse into a different USB and it appears to be solved. Thanks!

The problem is intermittent. It does seem like changing the USB port fixes it but it will eventually occur again. Replugging won’t work when the game is running, it requires a restart.

No I only have one mouse. It would be hard to test because the problem comes and goes. No other games are affected, just DCS

I don't think changing ports actually helps, the problem just appears and goes away seemingly at random. Don't know if more of these helps but here are some files. Lowering the polling rate to 125 isn’t a great solution as the mouse is really awkward at that setting

I've run into this issue as well after installing a 5090 and running VR. First session was fine. The next day, it is unplayable. My mouse is a Logitech G400s and as I understand, the polling rate is fixed at 1000. It can't be changed.

have you installed the G-hub software? i read the mouse specs as default rate of 1000. that is my G502 was set at.

I’ve been able to keep GHUB running in the background and if the problem occurs just Alt Tab to it, change the rate and then back to DCS again to fix it. Leaving the rate at 125 is rather klunky.

G400 isn't supported by ghub. It's an older mouse.

Anyways, I cleared shaders and tried it again today. Sim is working perfectly now.

What shaders did you clear?

I just deleted the metashaders2 and fxo folders contents as mentioned in a post earlier. I'm not sure if that did the trick, or simply having rebooted my system cleared it. The problem may still come back. The first time I tried DCS after installing the 5090 was for VR and it was working fine.

See the old Logitech Gaming Software if it works. I use it for my G600 because I dislike a lot the new G-Hub.

I searched on Google and I found that for the G400s the 1000 tick rate is fixed and cannot be changed.

Honestly, I'm not interested in installing anymore background software anyways.

The software only writes in the mouse memory the new parameters. It can be closed and never accessed again as well as unistalled.

Welp, found similar results. So nothing can be done, I guess.

Just save the info about the Logitech software if you ever need it. No background processes needed.

if it matters, g-hub uses 70 MBs of memory. with only 32 GB of RAM installed, i get your worry. honestly helping all these users i have over the years, the one thing that everyone should do is pile as much RAM into their computers as they can. i personally spent extra when i got this PC in 2021 to get 128 MBs. i literally have no issues with DCS whatsoever.
