N0XID Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 HUEY bugy rocket pods.trk It seems as if the unguided missiles of the Huey always shoot north under certain conditions. But this only applies to the XM158 Rocket Pod! CHECKMATES - German DCS Squadron
Tholozor Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Apparently they'll also shoot directly south if beyond the E/W line. MoleUK Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 From the last patch: "DCS: UH-1H Huey by Belsimtek Corrected rockets placement in XM158 launcher" This is the result: Only the XM-158 pods are affected. uh1.trk

Snuten Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 When I shoot my Hydra HEAT missiles they are going 45 or more degrees to the left? Ryzen 7 7800x3D, 32GB, Nvidia RTX 4090, Nvme SSD's, HP Reverb G2, Oculus Q3, Open XR
Snuten Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 When I shoot my Hydra HEAT missiles they are going 45 or more degrees to the left? How is this possible? Is this they downside of DCS only being in Beta mode? Ryzen 7 7800x3D, 32GB, Nvidia RTX 4090, Nvme SSD's, HP Reverb G2, Oculus Q3, Open XR

evanf117 Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 its already been reported but i figure ill throw my had into the ring, when using 2 inch rockets in the huey they fire 0 degrees north, not where the helo is pointing, quite annoying, sub optimal. Rockets dyrect North.trk
MSW1947 Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 I'm having the same issues in Mission Editor, however the training missions and instant missions rockets work fine , and rockets fire as expected. Guns are unaffected . The XM158 Rocket Pod will fire True North or True South ( totally useless ) This undesirable change occurred with the latest update , on 8-14-2024. Good Luck ED Team !
vvizard Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 Can confirmed this happen on my client as well as yesterday, with latest (as of yesterday) patch on the Kola map.
mdtenor22001 Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 Yes, this happened to me too on the final (very climactic) mission of the Paradise Lost campaign. Womp, womp. Talk about ruining the experience...and such peak DCS that a visual fix broke how the rockets actually work! 1
artao Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 So the patch today didn't fix this? I've not yet tried using rockets since last week's patch, just doing cargo runs and crew extraction/insertion with guns. Seriously cripples the Huey. 4 hours ago, mdtenor22001 said: Yes, this happened to me too on the final (very climactic) mission of the Paradise Lost campaign. Womp, womp. Good to know. Thanks. I'll stick with other campaigns (UN pilot) til this is fixed.
Woody57 Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 Same issue with the Huey rockets, I can hear the rocket launching but cannot see where it is going and sometime when i am launching a rocket it instantly hit my huey!
Woody81 Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 (edited) Same issue, Not sure about cardinal direction, but the rockets that you start off with in the easy ground attack mission on the PG map come out of the helo and go 90 degrees right to the start direction. Also did an update today, this hasn't changed anything. Edited August 22, 2024 by Woody81 1

Myztkl-Kev Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 I've been getting heavy into DCS again and the Huey and bought most of the campaigns, I finished the MAD campaign yesterday and one of those missions required the use of rockets and it didn't do this, but on a free flight previously and one of the default missions I just tried it did this. Not sure if it's map specific or the MAD mission used different unguided rockets?? Anyways, really bummer timing as I'm balls deep into this thing right now.
