Tom P Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 Every other dev has this option available but ED modules don't. Can we please get this easy request knocked out for all ED modules. 4

Tom P Posted October 22, 2024 Author Posted October 22, 2024 Where is this option for empty fuel external tanks.

Cali Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 I get it even though it's kinda weird. If you want to just use a centerline tank and want it empty, just take off in full AB it should empty fairly quick. I have never seen a tank loaded on a aircraft that was empty, but this is a game. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED

It's not weird, it's a real thing. My group does it all the time in other modules. Take off with empty tanks, rejoin with a tanker to top off and charlie mike. You would also be able to simulate low fuel state mission with air spawned aircraft that have empty fuel tanks. But that's not available with ED modules. Again something my group does but the hornet/viper users can't really partake as there is no option for them to have empty fuel tanks. Edited October 23, 2024 by Tom P additional info 2
Tholozor Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 (edited) An alternative option would be to decrease the internal fuel by the amount of external fuel so that it transfers and leaves you with empty bags. In any case, ED is looking into having sliders for external fuel: Edited October 23, 2024 by Tholozor 1 REAPER 51 | Tholozor VFA-136 (c.2007): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305981/ Arleigh Burke Destroyer Pack (2020): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313752/
Tom P Posted October 24, 2024 Author Posted October 24, 2024 They have been looking at it for 2 years now? 1
itn Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 This option would be useful for different types of training and testing from ground abd air spawn. For example, simulating RTB or mid-mission situstion where the drop tanks are empty. 1
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted October 28, 2024 ED Team Posted October 28, 2024 Hi, we have made a request to the team for empty Aux tanks, however it is low priority currently. Tom P Posted October 29, 2024 Author Posted October 29, 2024 Not trying to come off as a rude but this can be implemented within 1 patch window. Come on BN, every aircraft minus ED aircraft have this option. This would be great for all your modules that use external fuel tanks. 9 hours ago, BIGNEWY said: Hi, we have made a request to the team for empty Aux tanks, however it is low priority currently. We can refill empty tanks on the ground too in those modules. Just sayin'! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
ShroomSister Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Not just the two options "empty" and "full", but we should have a little slider on the rearm and refuel screen to choose how much fuel to put in the tanks.

Yeah they talked about doing that 2 years ago so I'm sure we'll see it in the next year or so. It's low priority.
