AngleOff66 Posted March 4 Posted March 4 GN, LTT, JZ, Paul's Hardware, Lvl1 techs, Hardware Canucks all have reviews. 1
LucShep Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Yeah, for those considering the RTX5070... just don't. It's not worth it. Tomorrow reviews will tell if AMD finally got it right and has the solution for this price point (with the RX 9070 and 9070XT), or if it's another disapointment. 2 CGTC - Caucasus retexture | A-10A cockpit retexture | Shadows Reduced Impact | DCS 2.5.6 - a lighter alternative Spoiler Win10 Pro x64 | Intel i7 12700K (OC@ 5.1/5.0p + 4.0e) | 64GB DDR4 (OC@ 3700 CL17 Crucial Ballistix) | RTX 3090 24GB EVGA FTW3 Ultra | 2TB NVMe (MP600 Pro XT) + 500GB SSD (WD Blue) + 3TB HDD (Toshiba P300) + 1TB HDD (WD Blue) | Corsair RMX 850W | Asus Z690 TUF+ D4 | TR PA120SE | Fractal Meshify-C | UAD Volt1 + Sennheiser HD-599SE | 7x USB 3.0 Hub | 50'' 4K Philips PUS7608 UHD TV + Head Tracking | HP Reverb G1 Pro (VR) | TM Warthog + Logitech X56
AngleOff66 Posted March 4 Author Posted March 4 I felt that it deserved it's own post as the reviews are not great and that it might save someone from making an error in purchasing. Wasn't this the card that was supposed to have 4090 like performance with MFG? 1
Beirut Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Every review I watched said "don't". 1 Some of the planes, but all of the maps!

Basically same thing as the RTX4070 Super it replaces. Not even an upgrade in the slightest over previous generation. (but hey, at least you can get the fake-frames of MFG... with a huge latency penalty!) I honestly don't remember a generation of GPUs so bad as the RTX5000 series, probably not even the maligned FX series back in 2003 (curiously, they too were 5000 series). It's really ironic that it's now the lower budget 5060 and 5060Ti becoming the last hope of this generation, as saving grace for Nvidia. And I'm not sure they'll hold up. MAXsenna Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Every review I watched said "don't". The two I watched were laughing their asses off, so I skipped the rest. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk 1
Eaglewings Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Nvidia has been saying it and the 5000 series card emphasis the point much more further. They are AI fixated now and care less about advancing raw performance in their cards. It is sad though.Let see if there will be a super variants down the road to save face from all these negative launch. Beirut Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Amazon Canada has the 5070 at around $1800 and the 5080 at $3500. The 5090 is available for the low low price of... $7500. ($1250, $2400, and $5200 in US dollars.) 1 Some of the planes, but all of the maps!
