Vettefan Posted Friday at 08:56 PM Posted Friday at 08:56 PM Hey, the obligatory question on the curves: Are there already good ideas on curves for the TM Warthog? currently, every input kind of „shakes the plane around“ on my end. Normal behavior for everyone or a settings topic?
javelina1 Posted Saturday at 02:31 PM Posted Saturday at 02:31 PM Here's what I'm using: Pitch - curve 22, y saturation 80, deadzone 3 Roll - curve 22, y saturation 80, deadzone 3 Rudder - curve 30, y saturation 80, deadzone 3 This is working good for my setup, (rig specs in my sig). Using a WH stick with a VPC WarBRD base and no stick extension. YMMV. 2 1 MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control
MiG21bisFishbedL Posted Saturday at 03:29 PM Posted Saturday at 03:29 PM I found saturation to be much more important than curves. 57 minutes ago, javelina1 said: Here's what I'm using: Pitch - curve 22, y saturation 80, deadzone 3 Roll - curve 22, y saturation 80, deadzone 3 Rudder - curve 30, y saturation 80, deadzone 3 This is working good for my setup, (rig specs in my sig). Sydy Posted Saturday at 04:06 PM Posted Saturday at 04:06 PM (edited) I use 3,100,100,15. Good luck! Edit: I have a Warthog Stick and throttle + MFG Crosswind pedals. Edited yesterday at 04:03 AM by Sydy 1 1
Vettefan Posted Saturday at 04:33 PM Author Posted Saturday at 04:33 PM Thanks, guys! I am now using dead zones of 3 and pitch / roll of 10. starting from there
felixx75 Posted Saturday at 05:02 PM Posted Saturday at 05:02 PM Pitch: Curve 5, Sat 100/100, Deadzone 1 Roll: Curve 5, Sat 100/100, Deadzone 1 Yaw: Curve 15, Sat 100/100, Deadzone 1 But that doesn't really help you, because what works for you depends 100% on your own hardware.

MiGCap1 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Why do You all need deadzones? It only makes the steering less sharp. I haven’t deadzones in any aircraft profile I use. No offend, I really want to know why You prefer them. http://www.instagram.com/spetersen13/?fbclid=IwAR07OCbRZX6qISe0fS8iUQfzts_iazbm7UEsxiKNnqviADGTaRWJJN7iAws http://www.facebook.com/spetersen13/

As the springs in the stick start to wear out it can drift off center introducing unwanted control input. No one prefers using deadzones but it is a way to correct for worn out joysticks without having to buy a new one or change the springs out. 1 DCS F/A-18C :sorcerer:

With my new contact-less potentiometers I don't need dead zones either, except on my rudder pedals as sometimes I rest my feet pressing the pedals slightly. However, when I still had my older standard potentiometers on my HOTAS I used to have a small deadzone to prevent the flight stick from vibrating slightly when at rest. 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
